Is it a good idea to bring a 'online test result' for Anxiety and depression to my doctor to show the symptoms that I suffer?I always find it hard to explain to my doctor what I feel and how bad it is. I think sometimes because I probably don't give enough info, that I'm not taken as seriously.I noticed that a lot of doctors now run similar test questions from their pc with multiple answers as to how you might feel. I took one before and it didn't give a very accurate reading, because obviously if it did I would be having help. What's the best way to go about anxiety and depression to a doctor?I've said this numerous times before but never had the gts to go in and do it again because of the many 'encounters' that I've been through (putting me off going again).I only say this because my therapist well basically is DONE soon, I'll refrain personal details. And, there isn't nothing much else to try. Time is running thin, I have a year left at college, before I move onto bigger things. If I am to 'cope' with another step then I need a specialized opinion, but the way I go about getting one is kinda playing in my mind. Thanks

I think it's a good idea to bring along an online test, provided you bring along all your answers, not just the final result. The questions aren't always the best questions, but they can help the therapist know what further questions to ask.

**I think anxiety and depression are the hardest things to diagnose, simply because unlike a broken leg there is no physical evidence. Taking along a test will make him realise a few things, like that you feel its a problem for one, and if he looks at the answers to some of the questions he might be able to see how your mind is working. It can't hurt, so i would take them. *hugs* **

I've done a few. Here are some links of the ones I tried:http://www.paniccenter.net/anxietytest/http://www.med.nyu.edu/psych/screens/depres.html
