Head rushes

You have low blood pressure, and when you get up quickly, the blood rushes out of your head. If you get up more slowly, it shouldn't be a problem...it's a lot better than having high blood pressure.

Steve hit the nail on the head. Poor circulation, or just low blood pressure can cause that. Get up slower, sit up before getting up completely, just take your time.

high blood presure isnt that bad lol

Not quite sure what the "lol" was about. In reply to:Uncontrolled high blood pressure can lead to stroke, heart attack, heart failure or kidney failure.

the lol was for me saying it isnt that bad when you can get all the stuff you just said like "stroke, heart attack, heart failure or kidney failure."

I take a couple kinds of BP medication. About 10 days ago, I went out for dinner, had a few martinis (which my doc says I should do with limits). Got home, laid down on the couch and about 10 minutes later, got up really fast and walked about half way across the room. Started seeing white and the next thing I saw was my wife standing over me when I was on the floor, saying, "Are you alright?" I was but had no idea how I got there! Same thing as you. BP had dropped way too low and it was like my head was running a quart low. Has not happened again since.

The same kind of thing happened to my father. He was on BP medication, but he lost weight, and his dosage wasn't adjusted low enough (it should have been adjusted to 0). He'd get out of bed and stagger around for a few seconds, until he stopped taking it. Fortunately, he didn't hurt himself.
