Lately My back has been stiffening up, cracking and feeling a little kinked. Ive been trying to get back into my dancing (ballet and hip hop) even though i havent for...about 2 years. Any ideas?

You need to start slowly to give your muscles a chance to get into some sort of shape. I can only think in terms of the machines and things at the gym, so someone else may have some ideas on out-of-gym exercises. You should also get a back massage every day, if possible.

Have you tired Yoga? Even if your not into the whole harmony of body/mind/spirit most (if not all) of the exercises are stretches combined with ‘good breathing’. Supposedly relieves stress too.

I'm in ROTC spinning 10-17 pound rifles running around drill floors for a season or two, so every fall after a summer off..I run into the sammmee problems. For muscle problems in our legs, we run up hills in stairs, and run and jump and place, other than that..for us it's mostly arm strength which we build by doing push ups..and more push ups. But thats just the ROTC way of doing things, I'm sure there are better...or more creative ways..it's alot easy to send a drill team marching up a sand hill..than to get them into a yoga room
