So iam 17 iam fit but iam not extremely fit, all my life i wanted to join the army. So i got the papers filled them out and by January ill be in the army but i dont know if iam going to make it but i do get a lot of exercise and i work out alot but like i said before iam not extremely fit will i be fit enough for the army by that time if i keep getting enough exercise and keep working out
Fit but not that fit
You'll be able to join, they'll put you on a strict diet when you enter basic. But fit they don't really care much about...you'll get fit in basic, it's the height and weight standards they are worried about, if you are 10 pounds over the weight limit for your height, they'll push your signing date back..until you work off the weight, less than 10 pounds..you'll work off at basic.
I hope that helped

You signed up for the Army, not the Special Forces. They won't reject if you're not in good shape. In fact, you may be in better shape than most guys they get. You'll have an easier time and be less sore in basic training if you get into shape now, though.
