I am 5'10 and weigh about 163lbs, down from about 210. I still have two problem areas which appear slightly flabby. These areas are my back (lat areas) and my chest (mostly outer pecks). I believe that it has to be poorly toned muscles and not flab because i run at least 3 miles at least 6 times a week and watch my diet pretty closely. What are the best excercises to tone these areas up with out adding much mass? Thanks in advance.
There's nothing wrong with adding some muscle mass. If you stay off steroids, you can get into pretty good shape without getting really bulky. Running, however, won't do much for your upper body.There are a lot of machines at the gym that would help, but if you're machineless, I suppose push ups, pull ups, sit ups, and crunches would be good, assuming you don't have any back problems.
