Because I listen to indie rock mostly, 25 dollars is usually expensive for a concert ticket. But The Rolling Stones are comming to town, and my uncle and his girlfriend blew 400 dollars on tickets. (they were 200 a peice) And then my dad told me about how he spent 75 on tickets to see The Eagles. Now I realize that the bigger the band, the more expensive they are. But I started thinking, What do most people consider reasonable for a concert ticket? what's the most you've paid or will pay and for what bands? As I said, I listen to Indie rock, and I go to most indie rock concerts, there for..anything over 35 seems crazy to me. (for the most part)

Most expensive concert you've been to?
-
first, I saw the Stones at "sars-stock" in Toronto 2 years ago. It cost $20 and I wanted a refund. They blow live.To me, seeing a couple of punk bands for a couple of bucks in some hole-in-the-wall club is preferable.
-
The Stones played at the domed stadium where I went to school. I didn't have tickets, but the sound carried nicely through the inflatable plastic roof. Therefore, I paid $0.I saw REM last year and paid around $50 or $60. I can't imagine paying much more than that, although I did see Brian Wilson and paid something like $70...but it totally kicked ass...I'd do it again. In Boston you could see three or four good local bands for $20 or less. It was great....just bring earplugs....they bands get better as it gets later. The music scene in Miami is pretty weak, if you're interested in anything besides dance/techo/hypno/DJ stuff. The Ultra Music festival in Miami every spring is great for that ($50 at the "door", I think (it's an outdoor event))...I saw Moby there this year.
-
I think I payed about $36 to see Ministry with Sepultura and Helmet opening. That's pushing my limmits.I seem to remember that Lollapalooza 1,2,3 were all around 30 bucks and were the most succesful tours of their years.
-
400-500 for 2 Metallica concerts.Second one was 75 bucks a piece b/c i was in the pit.
-
y'all can thank us old punks for the pit
-
i liked the pit. Tons of fans of Iron Maiden and shit, it got crazy but not to crazy...loved it.
-
so what the hell is the deal between Bruce Dickenson and Ozzy & Sharon Ozbourne?
-
hahahahaha....Well Maiden and Ozzy (Black Sabbath)...quite a difference. Think about it, Maiden is so up beat and fun and fast while ozzy is a dark hard and heavy.
-
The most expensive concert I've gone to was a Modest Mouse concert. I spent about $60 for my ticket... although I would have spent more to be in the pit but the person I was going with fucked up and got the wrong tickets... oh well, at least the concert was kick ass!
-
I've been to one concert..... It was a local band putting on a free show. Im not much into 'seeing them' in person... I plan to hit up a Kottonmouth King concert in the future... but other then that.... nothing
-
the best concert i went to was at Bush Gardens in Va. Saw Three Dog Night for the price of the then $15.00 admission to the park. Most expensive... Stevie Ray Vaugh, Heart, and Kansas triple header For $20.00 or so
-
well im going to leeds festival this weekend and thats costing me £135. headling are iron maiden, the pixies and foo fighters
-
Ah! Take me with you! I'd do anything to see those bands... ^_^
-
Well I spent over $50 everytime I went to a concert. Seen Pink (3 rows back center stage..talk about awesome!), Bon Jovi (He puts on a hell of a show), and Reba McEntire (hell its just Reba!). Yeah I know what a range in music LoL.When iw as much younger I seen Three Dog Night in concert, though not sure how much that ticket cost.
-
Most expensive was Ozzfest for $85.
It's funny though, the best concerts I have ever seen were free for me: Slayer, Lenny Kravitz, Nirvana. -
I also saw Pink Floyd and the Who in the 80's (at the New Engalnd Patriots' football stadium)...can't remenber what the tickets cost...must not've been cheap.
-

Not sure how much this is in dollars, but I paid £150 for onecamping ticket to download festival this summer. Thats extreme...but the acts were pretty amazing so no worries. For a singular gig I guess Greenday, Taking Back Sunday and Jimmy Eat World at Milton Keynes for £35- twas worth it though...three brilliant bands..
-
Well if you were playing in the band, how about hooking me up with some free tickets or backstage passes? When I was in school, I was voted 'Most likely to become a groupie'.I saw Therapy for $10...you win.
