I have before seen a doctor about this, but there was a part that I left out when I gave her the explanation. Hence here I am at "Afraid to ask".For the last 12 months or so, occasionally (ie. once a week or once a fortnight, sometimes more often), I'll have a bowel movement that won't complete. It's like everything is going fine and then all of a sudden, part of the poop snaps off and I'm left with a bit that just won't move, no matter how much intense straining I go through to get it out. After that I get up and wipe for like 20 minutes straight (Annoying as all hell), and then about 2 hours later I'll go back to the toilet and I'll be able to finish off that little bit.The bit I left out when I saw the doctor is that before all this started, I experimented a bit with anal masturbation, I fear that maybe I've done some damage? During the time that I was doing it, I never really experienced any real discomfort and can't really say that it is definately the cause, but yeah.I've been told by the doctor to just get a lot more fiber in my diet, so I'll do that. But just wondering if anyone has any ideas or solutions...Thanks.

Incomplete bowel movements.

I doubt that it's because of any physical change you have done to yourself, but perhaps you are mentally more aware of that area now.

Yeah I actually had a thought about that a while back, that it was a sort of "mind over matter" problem. Thanks.Any other ideas?

Yes, I used to have the same problem all the time. You need to increase the fiber in your diet AND drink lots of water..at least 8 oz a day, more if you exercise. Eat plenty of fresh fruits, bran cereals and less red meats or meats in general if you can. When your poop is so dry, it has a tendency to just break off and you don't get it all removed from your anus...which sounds like the problem in your case. Change the diet and see what happens
