When are girls the most fertile. Right when they are about to start their period, the middle, or the beggining? Are they the most fertile when they end their periods or are they most fertile when they are about to begin their period.
-
Cycles for girls
-
None of the above.
They are the most fertile for a period of about 5 days beginning 2 weeks before their period. That is the textbook timeframe, but this can vary quite a bit.
-
Maximum fertility is right around the time of ovulation, which is approximately in the middle of the cycle, between periods.
-
so right on the 14th day? so it happens when there about to start their period...so like the 24-28th days?
-
Yes
-
Approximately two weeks after the bleeding stops.
-
No No NO. IN-BETWEEN Periods... 14 days before or after the start of the period.
Here you need to do some reading:
-
OOO thanks you guys =]
-
So if i get this correct 7 days after her period is over is not a fertile day neither is 14 days.. but when 3 days 2 days before her period is about to begin she is vertile. And 2-3 days after her period ends she is still fertile?

If you're trying to figure this stuff out so you can have sex without using some form of birth control, you are playing a loser's game. The "rhythm method" frequently fails.
-
I don't understand why you are having such a hard time with this???!!! You are making this really confusing. The period is when she bleeds. 14 days before she starts bleeding is when she ovulates and is fertile.
-
Im not..I plan to use a condom with this method also. I will not use one method only. So if i had sex with a girl 4 -5 days after she stoped bleeding that is when she isnt fertile?
-
Wome ovulate at different times...some women have very irregular periods. There is NO safe time for unprotected sex.
-
Exactly! jimmyryler78, if you want to use the rhythm method to back up condom, that's fine. But keep in mind that ovulation is pretty unpredictable...women don't have mechanical clocks in their bodies. You should search for information on the rhythm method (counting the days from the start of the period, examining the consistency of your girlfriend's cervical mucus, tracking her body temperature...it can get pretty cumbersome), but there's no easy way to be sure that ovulation is not happening.
