Just curious on everyone's take on colonics. I get them frequently and i feel so much better after them. Some doctors don't agree with it but many naturopathic doctors and alternative med docs promote it.
-
Colonics and colon hydrotherapy have you tried it?
-
Nice placebo effect.
-
right!..I'm a nurse and work in a doctor's office and many medical doctors feel the same way but alternative med docs have different opinions on this.
-
Alternative meds docs are not interested in evidence-based medicine. Apparently, neither are you, which is why you should resign your nursing position and study voodoo.
-
lmao! apparently you haven't read the book i mentioned to you either...when you get old you're gonna be crippled taking your 40 medications in a wheelchair
-
alternative med docs are concerned with natural ways to cure people rather than by feeding them synthetic toxic chemically produced and man made and altered drugs that poison the body. See what happened with Vioxx, how about Baycol? Apparently you don't read much...and what did the FDA do? NOT A THING! Goes to show you who's looking out for YOUR best interest
-
lmao! apparently you haven't read the book i mentioned to you eitherI'm familiar with the book in question. All I can say is, don't uncritically accept whatever is printed and bound, just because you find it appealing. Mao and Hitler had their little books too. You've confused faith with fact.
-
You mean i've taken the blindfold off my eyes that you and half of the world will never remove.
-
> Apparently you don't read much.
Yep, apparently not. Let's say the FDA sucks. It doesn't mean that evidence-based medicine has nothing useful to offer. And it doesn't make every faith-based treatment efficacious. Are you parroting your MLM training/brainwashing, or do you actually have something useful to share on the subject? By that I mean something that doesn't involve shrill emotional denials, or the testimony of people who claim to have been healed. Because I have a TV faith healer you might be interested in...

besides who are you to tell me what I can and cannot do..this is a free country and we are all entitled to our own opinions and actions...if you don't like what i have to say then you don't have to argue it. Sounds like you need to learn the definition of "Respect"
-
You mean i've taken the blindfold off my eyes that you and half of the world will never remove. You sound exactly like a Moonie. Did I meet you at the airport?> besides who are you to tell me what I can and cannot do..this is a free country and we are all entitled to our own opinions and actions...if you don't like what i have to say then you don't have to argue it. Sounds like you need to learn the definition of "Respect"I've told you my opinion. Your in front of a computer, probably in another part of the country, or another country. I can't tell you what to do. But I don't respect scammers, even if they're misguided and think they're doing good. If you screw up someone, even with the best of intentions, you're culpable.
-
Yes you don't read much...the FDA has banned and offered to to pay companies to keep their mouths shut who have found cures for specific diseases because they want to keep feeding us all these synthetic drugs and chemicals to make more money. FDA is in alliance with the pharmaceutical companies to make money off of us. If everyone were better, we wouldnt need all these drugs. Maybe one day you will realize it. On that note, good night Mr. Steve and wash well with Neutrogena LOL
-
there are doctors that screw up people and yet you respect them but people who are actually trying to do good by helping others healthwise is not a crime. Doctors scam us on giving us medications we don't need because we take their advise and yet you look up to them! Sounds like you need to reevaluate your values
-
besides...as I said before,,how can you possibly SCREW Up someone by simply advising them to take mangosteen juice LOL "knock knock Steve" wake up! lol
-
there are doctors that screw up people and yet you respect themNo I don't.> but people who are actually trying to do good by helping others healthwise is not a crime.I don't respect a scam artist masquerading as do-gooder.> Doctors scam us on giving us medications we don't need because we take their advise...All doctors, huh? They're all trying to kill us and take our money. Why should they, when you can take it, at $40 a bottle?_____________________> besides...as I said before,,how can you possibly SCREW Up someone by simply advising them to take mangosteenYou can screw up people by giving bad medical advice. If one of your sales droid colleagues tells someone, "You don't need to suffer those chemotherapy side effects! Here, take this fruit juice instead! It contains preservatives (sodium benzoate), and that might help you live longer!"It is also detrimental to people to steal their money. Lady, do you have a conscience? You are selling mangosteen juice cut with a bunch of other cheap fruit juices, with preservative added, for $40 a bottle. The only evidence that it does anything useful in a live animal is in a single rodent study. In a test tube, bleach and soap kill pathogens. Why don't you guys sell Clorox for $40 a bottle?Sorry, but $40 is too much to pay for a placebo. If you had a conscience, you'd advise people to eat a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, which contain lots of nice antioxidents, vitamins, minerals, and fiber, and less sugar.

Haven't tried the colonic but I heard the mangosteen juice does have benefits. My uncle said it helped stabilize his Diabetes. I guess If you had a health problem it wouldn't be a problem in trying something.
-
geez steve kill the topic already! lol
-
Haven't tried the colonic but I heard the mangosteen juice does have benefits. My uncle said it helped stabilize his Diabetes. And some other guy claimed his blood glucose level went wacky on same. Perhaps it would have stabilized if he ate broccoli and drank cranberry juice (at a quite lower cost...but then cranberry juice isn't marketed through MLM pyramids). Did your uncle control for weight loss, exercise, diet, and other factors before he concluded what deserved credit? Why can't you buy mangosteens in the supermarket? What's so bloody special about the stuff that it's sold in watered-down juice form, and marketed like Amway laundry detergent? It's just mangosteen sqeezings diluted with a lot of sugar-containing cheap fruit juice and preservative. I can buy guavas and starfruit and mangoes at my local store. In general, fruit juice is the worst thing to drink if you're diabetic, unless you're having a low-sugar crisis. It contains a lot of sugar that will rapidly be absorbed into the blood (i.e., it has a high glycemic index). Eating a piece of fruit is far healthier (it contains less sugar-laden juice and more fiber). Ask any dietician.
-
back again to post i see  you cant buy mangosteens in the store because they are only grown in the tropics just in case you didnt read properly lol oh and also......sodium benzoate (the preservative you mentioned) happens to be in the many foods you eat so if mangosteen is poisoned isnt everything else you eat? You can already drop it Steve you are so persistent and a big bug a boo at that lol!
-
mangosteen fruit has very little sugar unlike some other fruits as well
