I have done it. I have not been this excited in a long time. I have my 30" mud terrain tires comin in three days, and in a week or so, I have the 3" Rough country suspension lift. OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG I cannot believe it.
-
It is done
-
Woot!! Congrates!!
-
Man I have waited so long for this. I cannot wait to hear the hum of the off roading tires.
-
wow only Ntorducing responded...well at least someone thinks its cool
-
YAY ^_^ When do I get to see some pictures?!?
-
hmmmm, maybe i should get to work on the digital camera thing...lol....I need one so I can take pics...
-
Well I had a bit of unplanned modification happen today. I went to take off the stock fender flares to see what kind of space I had, well needless to say, I broke a few bolts and I ended up taking all the fender flares off, and all the plastic shrouding underneath the motor in the front (was all connected). So now it looks even more P.I.M.P.

Don't those loud off-road tires wear down quickly on pavement?
-
the more extreme mt's do. I researched this topic well. And the tires are cheap, but they are strong and they last.
-
definitely want to see pics hon..........:)
-
any "purpose-built" product has a trade off.
-
Hey.. has anyone dealt with low profile runflat tires? It warns that they are suseptible to road hazards.
-
not specifically "run flats" but wide, low pro tires can be a bit delicate.I can also say, from personal experience, that they are a hurendious bitch to get onto the rim.Short and stiff is only good in a sidewall.
-
bigger sidewall = a better ride with stock suspension
-
OMG OMG OMG OMG 5 hours to go. I can barely focus in class, I think all I heard was, "Jon you are getting offroading tires."
-
OMG OMG well tires are installed and they are just eh....JOKINGTHey are so awesome, the offroad grip is freaking amazing, i tore up part of our hill b/c i got stuck a little. They hum at all speeds which i totally love, and it handles terrible, not a racing tire for sure. SO awesome.
-
They were 92 bucks a piece and I have 4 (i will get a fifth one, but that will have to wait for this next paycheck), and shipping was 78 bucks. It was 441 total. That is less than a set of BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires at the same size. I could have bought 5 at the price of 4 of those, plus these Kumho's are good, heard a lot of good things about them.
-
Okay so I tested the tires. So much fun, and they tear up the mud, I mad a mud pit and all it did was get my car dirty not even challenge the tires.
-
Well with any project there comes some difficulties, and it seems that my engine and it seals are just not up to the task of offroading. I am going to spend the next month or so, to desperately find a new 4.0L I6 motor for my Jeep. This is going to be a major set back, I will be out of vehicle, when i make the swap for a good week or so.
-
Look at the upsides of an engine swap. You can make a bunch of mods on the new engine while it's on the stand.I don't know if you can find back episodes of "Trucks" but Stacy did a major power upgrade on a Jeep I6 a couple of seasons ago.
