Speech Problem
-
Just say rural over and over again. GOod luck.

You're probably going to need to see a speech therapist. How old are you? Most schools and/or parents recognize it early and will put a child in speech therapy. I was is in it for several years throughout my preschool years as well as elementary school because I had problems pronouncing my "R's".
-
does saying ruarl really help? im 14 in october by the way... are there any websites that help at all?
-
No, he was joking. Do a Google search on "speech therapy".
-
Why was I joking? Did you read my mind?
-
You really need to see a speech therapist. That is most likely going to be your only help. Like I said before, I too had trouble pronouncing my "R's". I experienced many ear infections as an infant and newborn, followed by several surgeries on my ears during my first few years of life. Therefore, I missed out on a lot during those crucial first years when a human develops and understands sounds and language.
-
InSearch, do a Google search on psychotherapy.justanotherkid, you or your parent(s) should check to see if there's a speech therapist available through your school.
-
Well I'm sure your trusted websites know more than learning by personal experience
-
I'll bet, in a lot of cases, they do. Sometimes one's own perceptions can be pretty distorted.
-
Well as long as your friendly neighborhood websites say so, they must be right.
-
A speech therapist is a good idea, but i don't think its a huge problem anyway. I know at least one person who can't say their R's properly and hell jonathan ross has made a tv career out of it LOL

Hey dude, I used to have a really bad speech problem when I was younger. To this day I still stutter on occasion. It's annoying, but it's only bad when I'm nervous. It gets better as you get older. Most people "cure" it before they're outta high school. Just see a speech teacher or whatever & she should help you a lot.Good Luck Bro

In reply to: Poster: justanotherkidSubject: Re: Speech Problem I cant say R's correctly. Its not that big of an issue but its pretty annoying, anyone with a simalar problem, or help websites or sumtin? hey i had this same problem when i was born all the way till i was 14. I couldent say "r" "Sh" and "ch" sounds correctly for the life of me. I took speech class till i was 11 in school. Ofcourse the problem wasent gone yet, but my thearepist, my teachers, and myself knew that i wasent going to lose it using thearapy, but that it was going to grow out of itsself. They were right. By the time i was a freshmen i was rarely geting any sounds wrong. And now (im a sophmore) i dont get any sounds wrong unless i really just slack off and dont try that hard to pronounce them, or just talk real fast. But in my opinion if ur like me, then u will grow out of it. It may not be at the same ammount of time for you as it was for me, but u will most likely grow out of it.
