Questions about cut and uncut

There are sooooo many threads in this forum that address your questions. Please poke around through the list or do a search.

Main functions of the foreskin:1. To protect the head and keep it sensitive. Cut guys tend to get a glans that it cracked and rough and less sensitive as they get older.2. To keep the head from rubbing on things when you are not hard.3. To help provide stimulation during sex by moving up and down. This is also useful for masturbation.4. To provide additional erogenous nerve endings.

I'd bet that girl has never experienced an intact guy, in which case she'd have no real justification for the preference of one over the other, aside from cosmetic appearance. She just knows what she thinks she likes. There are many benefits to the foreskin, the most important being (a) a natural cushion which minimizes friction during intercouse, (b) it protects the sensitivity of the glans and keeps it moist (a layer of keratin forms on circumcised glans which dulls nerve response), (c) a built-in protection from foreign substances from entering the urethra. Not intact? Grow it back!Regards,John

and a foreskin helps in one of the biggest problem a guy can have - gettin ur cock cought in ur zip ( )!
-
can't say ive ever cought my foreskin in my fly. but just a question, when hard, should the foreskin cover the head, or be positioned behind it?
-
Behind the head. It may not go back by itself though.
-
thanks alot for that! i tend to bring my foreskin over my head for masturbation,is that ok?
-
If it's OK with you then it's OK with me.

"(a) a natural cushion which minimizes friction during intercouse"
Did you just think of that or something? I have never heard that before considering the foreskin is supposed to be retracted during intercourse which makes it a whole lot better. That is why people with a tight foreskin work on loosening it or get it snipped.

I hope you find these links helpful:http://www.cirp.org/pages/anat/The gliding mechanismDuring intercourse the loose skin of the intact penis slides up and down the shaft of the penis, stimulating the glans and the sensitive erogenous receptors of the foreskin itself. On the outstroke the glans is partially or completely engulfed by the foreskin. This is known as the `gliding mechanism.'The gliding mechanism is Nature's intended mechanism of intercourse. As such, it contributes greatly to sexual pleasure. Also, since more of the loose skin of the penis remains inside the vagina, the woman's natural lubrication is not drawn out to evaporate to a great extent, which makes sex easier without using artificial lubricants. The prepuce is a highly innervated and vascularized genital structure. It is entirely lined with the peripenic muscle sheet. Specialized ecoptic sebaceous glans on the inner preputial surface produce natural emollients and lubricants necessary for normal sexual function. The primary orgasmic triggers are found in the preputial orifice and frenulum. When unfolded, the prepuce is large enough to cover the length and circumference of the erect penis and acts as a natural sheath through which the shaft glides during coitus. Only the presence and functions of the prepuce allow for physiologically normal coitus to occur as designed by nature. http://www.nzma.org.nz/journal/116-1181/595/‘During intercourse, the skin of an intact penis slides up and down the shaft, stimulating the glans and the nerves of the inner and outer foreskin. On the outstroke, the glans is partially or completely engulfed by the foreskin with more skin remaining inside the vagina than is the case with the circumcised penis. This ‘valve’ mechanism is thought to retain the natural lubrication provided by the female because the bunched up skin acts to block the lubrication escaping from the vagina, which results in dryness.’5Most likely, reported vaginal dryness and the related clinical designation ‘female arousal disorder’ is but a normal female response to coitus with a man with an iatrogenically deficient penis.

As if I didn't have enough to worry about regarding size, lasting time, etc. Now I find out I have a iatrogenically deficient penis. Boy am I in bad shape. And all these years I thought I was pretty normal.
-
In reply to: And all these years I thought I was pretty normal. You think that because male circumcision is considered the norm in USA. That still doesn't change the fact that your penis is deficient because it has been surgically altered/mutilated at birth. Unfortunatelly you have lost around 50% of your penile skin, your glans is now desensitized, dried out and discolored.

Is this one of those "My car won't start, and my left anke aches" / "Well of course, your penis is circumcised" posts?Or did I misunderstand the context of "iatrogenically"?
-
We really don't need to go down this path. Please leave this deficient/ mutilated talk alone.
-
I understood what you were saying and I understand the consequences of being circumsized. Sorry, I didn't have a say in the matter AND I am not wanting to start yet another discussion on right/wrong of it.
I was just trying to be funny.
-
I am sorry for you too, I feel very strongly about circumcision and I just can't see any humour in it; to me there's nothing funny about cutting off a piece of genitalia or not having an integral part of your genitalia. To the original poster, here's another link you might find interesting: http://www.livejournal.com/users/wreckingboy/318545.html
