49 & Cumming
-
Let me get this right. You are 49, you can have an erection but you can't cum? Are you trying to come through intercourse or masturbation?
If you are a healthy 49 year old male who can get an erection, then there should not be a reason you can't cum.
See a doctor for help.
At least you are not a 49 year diabetic impotent male. What I would not do for an erection.

Well I dont know, I do take PROZAC, but it seems like it is getting worse. Trust me I am in good shape, eat healty work out daily CAN get an errection. I am not sure what to get checked on ..I do use a supliment called HYDROXYCUT, which I wonder has en effect..MY TESTERSTONE was checked & the levels are ok...I am INTO it with my head. I dont know!
-
A well-known sexual side effect of SSRI's like Prozac is difficult achieving orgasm. You ought to discuss it with your doctor.Hydroxycut seems quite useless, and contains a lot of junk. Not recommended.
-
What is with the Hydroxycut? I use ALLOT of that ....

It's one of many, many, many diet aids unscrupulous companies sell in order to separate people from their money. It contains a lot of stuff. No one really knows what all that crap does, or how it interacts with other drugs you take. Losing weight is not a magic trick. You exercise, you eat fewer calories than you burn, you permanently change your eating habits to something more healthy, and you lose weight slowly and steadily.
-
Thanks I DO follow nutrition & I WONDER if that has anything to do with this, doc did not know., I actually dont need to lose weight either. I just used it for defination.., not sure how old you are but I THINK its too early for this problem & yep it bums me

I dated someone (female) who had the same issue. She tried Wellbutrin, a non-SSRI antidepressant, but it wasn't very effective for her. She went back to the SSRI. For her, it was a worthwhile tradeoff.
-
WHAT IS SSRI?
-
What is ssri???????? what do you mean>
-
Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor -- the class of drug that Prozac is. You ought to do some research on the drug, and note its potential side effects. SSRIs can have sexual side effects.
-
If you want to come, masturbate.
-
Huh? Did you think he was asking why he doesn't spontaneously orgasm at random times?

About a year or so ago I was put on Zoloft for extreme anxiety and slight depression. I had no issues with getting an erection and my sex drive actually seemed to increase. BUT at the same time I have a hell of a time cumming (Even when masterbating it took me over an hour to orgasm). Well I spoke to my doctor and she was a bit shocked, out of the MANY years she's been practicing and the many patients she had on zoloft I'm her first patient to ever have issues orgasming while taking this med. I ended up have the under .1% side effect called ejaculation failure. Basically you feel like you're about to cum but than the sensation just goes away. After alittle research on her side she put me on Wellbutrin which stopped the cumming issue but it gave me almost a more severe side effect where I was the moodest asshole on the face of the earth LOL. I actually had people begging me to get off the drug. The mood swings were so bad I actually went off on a friend because they wouldn't eat a piece of cake. It was horrible.I eventually decided not to take another anti-depression/anti-anxiety med and decided to use meditation and exercising to help me through my issues. I am not saying all meds like this are bad because I actually did like Zoloft it helped with my anxiety tremendously, but the side effect wasn't really worth it. Best thing I can say it talk with your Doctor and find a med that works for you.

People's reactions to different antidepressants varies, and it's often necessary to try a few. That failure to ejaculate is quite a well-known side-effect of SSRIs (other possible sexual side-effects are loss of libido and difficulty getting hard).Wellbutrin was the first of the modern antidepressants to avoid the sexual side-effects, but there are now a couple of others available. It's the elevated serotonin levels from SSRIs that does it, through a different receptor from the one involved in lifting depression. It's possible to get antidepressant action without changing serotonin levels; it's also possible to specifically block the 'bad' serotonin receptors.

According to this Salon.com article (from 2000), Wellbutrin may actually have sexually-enhancing side effects.
