The hymen covers the entrance of the vagina. All that you need to use to view it is a mirror and your fingers.

Confused about the hymen
-
Since you are so stubborn....
Many people are under the impression that the hymen is located within the vagina. It is not. It's part of the vulva, the external genital organs. It's located outside the vagina. The hymen is a layer of tissue, just like the tissue around the opening of your vagina that partially conceals the vaginal orifice.

A BSc in human physiology? So you've seen some pictures? Have you actually examined anyone?
If you sit up in bed, with your legs spread, and have a mirror and good lighting, you should be able to spread the outer genitalia enough to see what's at the entrance to the vagina.
If you don't believe me, maybe you believe the Our Bodies, Ourselves companion Web site.
Our Bodies, Ourselves will teach you more about your sexuality than a BS program will. I also suggest you examine a female's genitalia. As a heterosexual man, I've had the opportunity.
