I've had dark circles under my eyes all of my life. They look like the dark circles that you get from not getting enough sleep, but I get quite a bit of sleep every night. I average about 9 1/2 hours of sleep each night, so does anybody know what could be causing these dark circles uner my eyes and how I can get rid of them? Someone mistaked me for a stoner today, that's why I'm posting here -_- .

Dark circles under my eyes...
-
Most likely it's a hereditary thing. I have darkish areas under my eyes...it's something that runs in my father's mother's side of the family. On me it's not too bad, but it gets pretty bad if I don't get enough sleep.I'm not sure what can be done...plastic surgery?...skin bleaching? (it's a pretty sensitive area, though)...laser treatment?...makeup?
-
it could be caused by stress, hereditary or allergies.

If you have oily skin, keeping your skin clean will help reduce the appearance of the dark circles. I too have somewhat dark circles, but washing my face reduces the appearance of them.
-
The darkness is within the skin. Are you just washing away dirt?
-
No, but oils on the skin can make the dark circles look shiny and more noticeable.

I suffer from this problem as well. I am thinking of going to the doctor to see what is the cause of the problem. It looks as though I'm not getting enough sleep, but I have at least 5 hours (albeit broken) of sleep per night.I am sure it is not due to supposed sleep deprivation, so I am guessing that it may down to genes. I hate my parents!

It looks as though I'm not getting enough sleep, but I have at least 5 hours (albeit broken) of sleep per night.5 hours (albeit broken) of sleep is enough for almost no one.I am sure it is not due to supposed sleep deprivation,Why are you sure it's not due to your almost certain sleep deprivation?> so I am guessing that it may down to genes. I hate my parents! That could be a factor. But it beats inheriting a degenerative disease.

Well I sleep between 2am and 7.30am usually. Sometimes I will drift off sooner (say, midnight, but it's rare). I do not feel tired in the mornings.

You get far less sleep than the average person reqires. Either that, or genes, or some combination of the two is having an effect.

The stuff in tea bags will help reduce that. Expecially (sp) green tea bags. Try this website, there is a lot of remedies for that http://forums.ultimate-cosmetics.com [image]http://robotorgy.pharse.com/images/avatars/Cute/pandastrawberry.[/image] god, I don't think this will show
