My girlfriend and I had sex for the first time the other day. She is on the pill, and I pulled out.I know that the pill is 99% or something like that effective, but do the chances decrease because I pulled out of her?I'm just curious, and I'm a little stressed because it is a new thing for both of us. We talked about all of the possibilities of things that could go wrong, and are being smart about it, but I just wanted to be careful. So does pulling out help much, or not really?

The Pill...and...

Considering she's on the pill and you pulled out, you should be fine. But you do know that just because she's on the pill, doesn't mean it stops the spread of STD's, right? It only helps to hinder a woman getting pregnant.I understand that not having to use a condom feels great and such but you should also wear a condom as well. It's the only effective way to block STD's (Other than not gaving sex period)

**relax, shes on the pill, AND, you pulled out, how can you be worried????? **

Well both of us were virgins, and neither of us have ever had to deal with anything that could potentially give either one of us an STD (sharing needles, parents have it) and neither of us has ever needed a blood transfusion. Yeah, I'll definitely use a condom from now on, though. You never can be too careful.

thats true, the pill and a condom combined is the best way to protect against pregnancy, i have 3 kids, 1 & 3 concieved while i was on the pill, the second while using condoms.
