Hello dear forum dwellers!Prx and I need a vacation, and we're planning on taking one during our winter break (ie, after xmas through new years) for about a week. We're doing all the research, but I would like to hear what you folks have to say! We would like a warm climate, about a week, and for $3000 canadian and under (about $2536 USD). Let me know where you've been and your opinion, thanks!

Iv had a good a great many places, Seattle, Portland, any place in Mexico, San Diego, Iv even had a few good times in St. Louis. What were you two thinking of doing while on the vacation? Hobbies and interests and stuff?
Iv had a great time in Yellow Stone and Montana at Glacier National Park.
planning on driving or flying? jump out of Canada or stay close to home?
The ice is normally pretty stable here in December, if ya make it to utah let me know Ill personally guide you up a frozen 820' water fall.
Shit Ill do it for free, Im going to be climbing it anyways. -
We were looking at something tropical, which means we're flying, although if we stay in the country, it depends on where (big country!). We would love someplace romantic, relaxing...and fun! No particular hobbies or anything.

wel your right that means flying, its more expensive but for that much I would think you could head to porta viarta (sp?)I was there a few years ago, got an al inclusive package for about 2 k American. They wouldnt even accept tips. One word of advise if your alble to hook up that trip, stay out of that fucking river! We were swiming in it and the locals told me to get out, I asked why and they told me about the crocs. I thought they were shitting me, until they pointed one out against the bank about 50 feet from me.Only about 3 or maybe 4 feet long, but bigger then anything I want biting me.

One of the best times Iv ever had was riding jet skis off the coast of San Diego, by sea port village down by the Encinada bridge. nice resturants there and good times and a short drive over to TJ for a rowdey night! followed it up with a couple of days in a motel on Imperial beach. truly great times there.

A few years ago I went to South Beach, FL. The weather was beautiful, crystal clear water and white sand beaches. And everyone was sooo beautiful down there. Plus there's an awesome night life down there!

I heard it was a nice place. The natives are weird, though.

Of course. What, have you been living under a rock the last millenium? But seriously, we wanted tropical, or a romantic winter resort in Muskoka. Since the majority of ppl here aren't from Canada, i didn't ask about it.
