For the past year or so ive been trying to each alot more than usually to gain some more weight i dont really have much food so i just try to eat alot of snacks through out the day (might be candy or a burrito or bannas and apples), ive also tried working out a little , that made my arms a little bigger i cant get my chest any bigger.but i havnt noticed any change in my size really. im about 6' im guessing i dont really know my height never really checked but my friends are over 6' and im as tall as them. but i still wrap my hands around my wrists im not freakishly skinny but id like to bulk up a bit, the ladies tell me it would be really nice . i have a nail biting problem and this girl i know in class says you can get worms doing that and that got me wondering i might have worms this whole time and thats why im not gaiging any weight. ive always been know to eat or put nasty stuff in my mouth. Is there any way to find out i have worms or not? i heard the procedure they do and how doctors take them out and its pretty nasty.

The procedure for getting rid of worms is actually quite simple - you get some medicine from the pharmacist (should be available over the counter), take it (usually just one dose), and the worms are killed and pass out. You may have been frightened by some garbled tale about guinea worms (they are the ones that have to be pulled out of your body, but they are confined to tropical Africa).

morning, i have a son just starting kindergarten, and i always remind him to wash his hands before eating at school - not only for cold germs and such, but also for Pinworms. I think this might be what your friend was refering to.it is a childhood illness, usually appearing in children Under 12 - the adult pinworm live in the colon and can cause nighttime itching of the anus, but can also produce no symptoms. Eggs are laid outside the colon on the skin around the anus.. and if itching occurs they can get under the nails. If care is not taken, they can be transfered to others. If you do a general search on Pinworms you'll see they are common, and treatable.Wash your hands.. -M
