I just watched the seinfeld where cramer starts shaving with butter lol and I thought "hell, why wouldn't that work?" WHat are your thoughts about it?

Shaving with Butter
-
i guess it cold work, just use olive oil insted, if it was good enough for the romans its good enough for me
-
I dunno i would think that would cause most people to break out with acne because of all the oils.

You have to keep it refrigerated so it doesn't turn rancid. Even whipped butter is hard when properly refrigerated, so you'd have to wait for a chunk of it to melt, or you'd have to melt it yourself. After you were done shaving, your face, hands, and razor would be covered with grease -- the type of grease that will go rancid if you don't wash it all off.I have no idea how well butter would work as a shaving lubricant, but it would be time-consuming mess to use, although it might work better than hamburger grease. I'm afraid a lot of Kramer's ideas are impractical.

I've heard that shaving cream works well.

This is an amazing age we live in.

Shaving cream is so... mundane! Yes I could see mass acne as a side affect of Butter shaving though. Still I might try it in the name of exploration, if i do ill let you all know
-
Suggestion. If you do I'd have a really good facial wash to use right after. Followed by a good astringent (SP) to help get the oils off the skin. But yeah let us know, would be interesting to find your results from your experiment.

i remember reading the handmaids tale and they used butter as moisturizer...but wont catch me doing that, or shaving with it, you would just smell rank afterwards..and greasy cringe
