I just had a weird conversation w/ my friends at school, when my friend mentioned that someone gave someone else HIV by putting their 'fluids' inside the victims drink. Now this gets me to ask:Can you get HIV by DRINKING someones semen/blood?
-
Can you get HIV by...
-
Well putting it in someones drink, esp alcoholic drink, would probably not give someones HIV/Aids unless the person had an oral abrasion/sore.Now drinking someones blood or seman when they are positive would not be a good idea. Though there has been no known cases of contact HIV through oral sex (Unless again the person has an oral sore, that's different) because the stomach acids would kill the virus, it's still something I would never attempt.

mentioned that someone gave someone else HIV by putting their 'fluids' inside the victims drink.People will just repeat stuff like that, but no one knows who the "victim" is. Don't believe everything your friends tell you.I wouldn't want to drink anything that someone else ejaculated or bled into, but I'm not aware of any case of someone getting HIV from a drink.

I heard of people getting AIDS from fistfights in which an HIV+ person hit them and drew blood, I guess if your throat tissues were irriated or something.
-
??Sorry I am trying to think how that could be possible. Only thing that comes to mind is say the HIV person hit the person in the mouth and say knocked out a tooth and the tooth cut the HIV persons hand inwhich blood entered the other mans mouth. But even than.. I dunno.. I'd still think it would be slim.

Yeah it's easier to transmit than people think, you can get it from oral sex. I read some story about some positive crackhead who beat the shit out of a cop and spit in his wound and gave him AIDS.
-
spit in his wound and gave him AIDS.If you can find that artical I'd love to read it please. In order for someone to get HIV through saliva there has to be an open wound in the mouth. And again there has been NO known cases of transmition of HIV through oral sex when there were no oral abrasions. Stomach Acids would kill the virus almost immediately plus there is research on an enzyme in saliva that actually attacks the HIV virus and kills it.So please if you can find that artical I'd be very interested in reading it.

Everyone heard about this or read about that, but I never see anything traceable, like a name.

Some info found here :http://www.mwsearch.com/enfuvirtidemar1603.html
Point out some parts so those who don't wish to read that whole thing :
Some people talk about "shared body fluids" being risky for HIV, but no documented cases of HIV have been caused by sweat, saliva or tears. However, even small amounts of blood in your mouth might transmit HIV during kissing or oral sex. Blood can come from flossing your teeth, or from sores caused by gum disease, or by eating very hot or sharp, pointed food.
To infect someone, the virus has to get past the body's defenses. These include skin and saliva. If your skin is not broken or cut, it protects you against infection from blood or sexual fluids. Saliva contains chemicals that can help kill HIV in your mouth.
Just a few small points. Alittle too lazy ATM to find more but I think those work.

Heres what i know on that, god I dont remember the year but its been atleast ten, or around ten?. Anyways, Tommy "The Duke" Morrison, found out he had aids. He attempted to continue to fight (if you didnt know he was a pro boxer, heavy weight).Ever been in a fight? there is open wounds and there is blood, well not always, but theres a better then average chance Both people get bloody and not all of it is just from one person.I cant remember if anyone refused to fight him or if the boxing commisioners banned him. I do know that he was still early in the stages of it, and that he was built and in great shape.I suppose I could research it and dig it all up again, if theres any actual interest Ill see what I can find. May do that anyway since Im now wondering what happened to the last white boy to beat Big George Formen and be called the great white hope. Anyone know if the Duke is still alive and what happened to him? from HBO Boxing, dated November 1, 2002

Oh I agree that fighting where open wounds and someone's infected can certainly infect the other person. It was the post that confused me alittle:
>I heard of people getting AIDS from fistfights in which an HIV+ person hit them and drew blood, I guess if your throat tissues were irriated or something.
I was with him with the fistfighting thing but than he started talking about throat issues..??
-
Throat issues got to me too, so I assumed that he did what Iv done many many times and start making a post, hear somehting on tv or the radio or outside and lose focus, then come back to it and forget where I was and what I was thinking, or my brain works too fast and amy fingers cant keep up and mybrain makes leaps and bounds and no one can follow

They were two seperate thoughts, my bad. If your throat is irritated and you drink semen or blood, it's probably possible to transmit, they told us that in health class.I saw the article in a local paper sometime back. It was actually an editorial in the Beacon or Dealer about the revolving door system in Cleveland in which this HIV+ crackhead assaulted a cop, spit in his wound, got taked into custody and was released that evening.
