I do push ups and all that for about a year now and I am not seeing that much improvement in my punches. I know I am doing the push ups right because I can see a HUGE improvement in my arm and abs (from sit ups) So if you could help me out, that would be great. Thank you in advance.

Maybe, you just dont know how to punch?I learned to punch from my dad who was a Navy champ in boxing a punch starts at your leg and the proper body position, A punch takes up your leg, back snap the shoulder and the arm.Maybe look into a boxing program in your area or a martial arts dojo.Maybe its not that you cant do it maybe its that you dont know how instead of a physical matter.

actually the main power of a punch is your hips. if you don't use your hips you punch won't get any stronger at all. that's what i've learned in my martial arts class.
