Im almost 16 and I want to leave home what is the age for someone who wants to leave home and live somwhere else in vermont? I need facts not estimates
-
When can i leave my house
-
Like Helms said... 18 brotha. It sucks ass. I know. I want to move out so bad
-
take agreement from your parentsNot necessarily. If you're parents are totally screwed up, you might be able to get into foster care until you're 18. Otherwise, if you fight your parents, you'll be in court until your 18th birthday. Then it will be a moot point.

Yeah... Its going to be hard as a mofo. Im hoping to do it with a good friend. Atleast until I can afford my own apartment.
-
dude come on it's just two years what have you got to lose? huh? i mean i would have liked to move out earlier too. but staying also means free food no rent. think about the real world for a second here. teenagers are still very shelterd in their homes and don't have a clue as to what's really happening no matter what they say otherwise.

lol thanks helms now all i need to do is convince my parents
-
18.
-
I was on my own at 12.
-
What do you mean by "on my own"?
-
I was responsible for taking care of myself at 12. You know hanging out with friends and what not.
-
I don't think that's what the original poster is talking about.
-
So you were allowed to hang out with your friends, without mommys hand, at 12?
-
Yeah Amanda I know just giving an input. And you^^ buddy, please just, spare us and shut it. Thanks. And yes. My wittle mommy held my hand evwy day to make sure her wittle baby girl would be ok. Give me break.

I would not recommend leaving home. I too was thinking of moving out of my house because i was fed up with my parents.. but neeever will i actually do it.. I have it so good at home!

I left home at just 16 to live with my bf (now husband). Not sure if the age is different here in England but my parents didn't contest me moving out as they thought I would be home within a week.Take it from me it is bloody hell being on your own and suddenly responsible for food, bills, rent and washing etc. I would LOVE to have had the courage to go home again but I was too stubborn and in the end...some 15 years later it has all worked out but I wished I had stayed and tried a bit harder to have a good relationship with my parents. You don't say why you want to move out hun but I do hope you can work it out as as Dorothey says...There's no place like home.
