i think i may have chlamydia and i just need some help from someone who has had it before and had symtoms. recently ive had quite a lot of this really thick, whitish yellow vaginal discharge that really isnt normal for me. it does have a slight unusual odour to it. i wouldnt say it was any better or worse than my usual but its just different. i am getting tested just before christmas as this is the only time i can get to a gum clinic but id rather sort of know one way or another before then. can anyone tell me if this kind of discharge is familiar to that experienced during a chlamydia infection?thanks

Chlamydia? help with symptoms

Could be, or it could be another STD, such as richomoniasis or clap, or a non-STD. Only a test will tell you for sure.
What's a "gum" clinic?

Affects both men and women. In men, Chlamydia can cause NGU. Symptoms show up 7-28 days after having sex. Most women and some men have no symptoms. Symptoms for women may include discharge from the vagina, bleeding from the vagina between periods, burning or pain when you urinate (pee), need to urinate more often and pain in abdomen, sometime with fever and nausea. Symptoms for men may include water, white drip from the penis, burning or pain when you urinate (pee), need to urinate more often, and swollen or tender testicles. Spread during vaginal, anal and oral sex with someone who has Chlamydia. You can give Chlamydia to your sex partner(s). Can lead to more serious infection. Reproductive organs can be damaged. Women and possibly men may no longer be able to have children. A woman with Chlamydia can give it to her baby during childbirth

I thought I had it once, simple enough test to find out. I had no symptoms, not a single one and was contacted by the clinic who tested a girl for it I had sex with a few months before hand, she gave them my name and I got a call, and a letter. That was scarey shit waiting to get tested (made an appointment the first day I was aware of it but had to wait a couple of days to get in with my work schedule)I was tested negative but given the cure when I was tested. Nasty shit, tastes like banana flavored chalk mixed in water.Dont guess or think, go get tested, simple piss in a cup.Steve, I thought that the clap, and drip dick, and chlamydia was all the smae thing and that they were just slang terms for it?If I was wrong then what the hell are they slang for?

The "clap" generally refers to gonorrhea...not sure if that's a hard-and-fast rule.

Sounds like when I had a yeast infection

lol I thought clap was a reference to chlamydia as well.. hmm lol And Amy I agree with everyone else, just get tested.. but it does sound like Chlamydia, but than again as Steve said could be another STD as well. I'll keep my figners crossed for ya sweets. Keep us posted.
