I recently visited my doctor and asked him to remove all of the moles from my back (I don't want to ever take my t-shirt off because I am so paranoid) but he refused. He said that they were small moles and wouldn't cause a problem to me. Also, he added that if they were removed they would all leave scars. But he did not take into account my insecurity about the way I look. I would rather have scars than moles.Even though they are supposedly not cancerous, I want them all removed so I can look like a normal boy. If the NHS won't do it for me, shall I pay for it privately?

you ARE normal. Excuse the doctor for not doing sensless surgery that would cost you money, and his time. he has to deal with people with realy problems all day long not some guy worried about what people will think about his back. No one cares what your back looks like.

Even though they are supposedly not cancerousIf they were cancerous (I assume you mean melanoma), you would have long since been dead. You are not dead. You don't have cancer. If you want to have a cosmetic procedure, you need to see a plastic surgeon. You will have to pay for it yourself, if you can find someone who will agree to do it.
