my girlfriend was born with thin hair and also she just doesn't have a lot. I really wish there was something that we could do about this. She was just telling me how she has to comb her hair so her "baldspot" isn't as noticeable. I too do not find this an attractive feature but I still love her. Is there anything we could do about this? It's kind of funny because i have really thick and a lot of hair and she has the opposite. I wonder if they could take some of my hairs and transplant it in her scalp.

you should tell more bout the problem like is it progressing or just the same.....consult a dermatologist bout it....coz there are some problems that can be treated like dandruff and fungal infection and some vit. & Mineral deficiencybut as you said this is since birth and likely to be hereditarythen my say is that the problem is there to stay....and brother i appreciate your concern for her but transpalnt is not such a successful therapy n one cant expect drastic cosmetic results out of itbut i have heard bout a new option of transplantation of biosynthetic hair like products which are shot into the follicles of the scalp n are even stronger then real hair also they are customised according to the person in question...so look real....hope this helpsmore than anything its your constant support(which she already has) that is the wonder drug!!!
