Last night I went to get my hair cut for the holiday. Well I go to a good friends barber shop but he wasn't working but he has a few other barbers that I like. Well the other 2 barbers I like had people lined up waiting for them so I let another guy cut my hair. Figured he's be okay, he's been doing hair for 3 years and been at this barber shop for about 2 years now. I have the worlds easiest hair cut, just a one blade fade on the sides and trim the top. I decided to get it highlighted as well. Well, all I can say is I got so much more than I bargained for. He took the fade up WAY to high and I'm lucky if I have 3-4 inches wide of hair on top of my head. So now I have this strip of highlighted hair. I mean I have had people goof here and there but this deff takes the cake!!! The only thing I can do with it is push all the hair to the center and make like a mini mo-hawk. I cannot lay it down because it looks awful because of the fad being so high.I work in a doctors office, so it's a pretty professional setting, and having a mo-hawk doesn't really fit in. All the girls I work with are trying to be supportive and saying "It doens't look that bad, maybe it'll grow on you" while a few of the honest girls are telling me to go back to the barber shop and show the owners (My friends) and have them cut the rest of it off. Not sure what to do yet.Sorry guess there was no real point to this thread than to rant a little. Just very upset right now. =-(

I think we've all had our share of bad hair cuts. I've had way too many. I was going to the same lady for several years just because that's who my family went to and I didnt really feel like going anywhere else. But this woman always cut my hair one to two inches shorter than what I wanted and with my hair...that's a lot! I had it permed once - I will never do that again. It was so tight I didn't have a choice but to get a relaxer to put on it. Horrible...my cousin cuts, dyes, and perms my hair now (for some reason..my hair is incredibly curly in the front and toothpick straight in the back). It's always a trim now (the new guy likes it long..and you know..I kinda miss my long hair), I always dye my hair back to blonde (i've been a brunette, a red head, and even had black hair ), and the perm is always just a body wave (loose curls are the best).

Aww, honey, that's horrible (but it'll grow out eventually), I would go back and talk to the owners about it if I were you though. At least you didn't have to walk around with a fusia skunk strip in you hair for months because someone screwed up... I'm the queen of jacked-up hair lol huggles

I'm sure it still looks good. Don't be so worried about it sweety! Here's a hug for you (----------------)!

ROFL. yes Rob Thomas is hot.. I just cannot see myself with hair that short. Though I have a feeling thats what's goign toe nd up happening. Waiting for my friend that owns the barber shop to get in this morning and see what he says. IF I can find my digi cam before going to get it fixed I'll post a pic so you can all see what I am talking about LoL. I mean I guess it is pretty humerous but wish it would have happened at a different time where I wouldn't be around my whole family LOL.

i'm thinking of going to the hairdressers this week, at the moment i have quite long hair but want to go shorter, i dont mean short short lol. but im not completely sure, i'm one of those people who grows their hair long because theyve wanted it long for aggess and then decides to go shorter. so once ive cut it, i'll be wanting to go longer again...such is life.anyways, is there anyway you could just got shorter getting rid of this style? guys hair always seems to grow longer more quicker than girls...

Well, I spoke to my friend about an hour ago and he said only thing he thinks he'll be able to do is to cut the top the same lenth (one blade) and than fade to the skin on the sides so it doesn't look so bad. He said next time I get my hair cut and highlighted it'll be for free.but Now a few of the girls I work with are now telling me they like the style. that i can "make it work". So now not sure what to do LoL.

If you want somthing done right do it yourself! I cut my own hair, always get exactly what I want.

My oldest brother and sister tried to fix my hair when I was 4 years old. And yes I remember the age because I am scarred from the incident lol. I was 4 my oldest brother was 13 and my sis was 12. Parents weren't home and so they decided to do my hair. My brother "tried" (big emphasis on the tried) to cut my hair and it was pretty uneven. Then my sister tried to curl it with the curling iron. Big mistake because she was talking on the phone and burned my arm. That was about... 15 minutes of both of them trying to cheer me up from crying. Then my brother comes and watches tv eating an apple right next to me and don't ask how or why but somehow while he was eating that apple his knife sliced/popped the evidence of the burn they gave me. That was another 15 minutes of them trying to cheer me up again. parents came home and they saw the huge white cloth wrapped around my arm... went on from there.siblings are crazy!

That sucks but atleast your a guy so it won't take an extremely long time to grow out.

well, take it from Mr "short, grey crew-cut like a scary, retired drill seargent"... the difference between a bad and a good haircut is about a week.
