Hey, my girlfiend suffers from really bad cramps and she started to use her moms progesterone cream. I think her mom is taking it because she is in the midst of menopause but please don't quote me on that.
Anyway her famous super-bitchy PMS was totally absent this time around, she said she had only a few cramps compared to the mind-altering pain she used to go through, and she doesn't have any other of those girly symptoms that make girls oh-so pleasant to be around the first day or two of their periods.
It sounds too good to be true... then I got to thinking... when something is too good to be true... it usually is!
She is 19 years old and taking progestone cream... basically she rubs a small amount on her wrists like her mum does every day for 10 days before her period... i think. it totally took away all her PMS and period problems.
Is there any side-effects for a woman who is only 19 taking progesterone cream? what else might be a worry? She wonders too since this was not something she went to a doctor about... she just had the idea because her mom responded so well to it. but her mum is in her early fifties and beginning menopause so there is a huge biological time difference.
anything would be great! thanks girls!
