Ok so im 15 and i weigh 14stone its gotten to the point where i dont leave my house unless i have to go to school, i dont do PE in school because im too ashamed to show myself infront of others, i want to lose weight but i dont no how. I considered running but i cant bare the thought of being outside, not looking how i do. Ive cut down a lot on food and i started too keep a diary of what i eat and drink each day, its started to work i guess. But i no i have to put in some exercise, are there any exercise i can do from the saftey of my own room until i feel ok about going outside? Until i feel ok about being un public? anything, please help me and is there any estimate of how long it will take to lose weight if i contine these exercises. and how long each week should i do them? please any help?

I really dont think i could lift my own body weight and i dont have a pull up bar either:( ive been giving this a lot of tought and would biking help? I think i could bare being out on a bike i dont know why i would just feel more comfortable on that compared to runing. So would riding a bike work? if it would what kind of distance/time should i be riding for? and how long each week?

If you're going to ride a bike then make sure to find a location where you can keep up a brisk pace (as in not a road where you stop and go), and try to go about 5-8 kilometres at first. You should be able to increase this to about 20 km in little time if you keep it up on a regular basis. Just be sure to not go too nice and easy the whole way, it's best to go at a moderate pace that gets your heart rate up.

20km thats around 12miles isnt it? how often should i be riding this distance? its just i have school during the week and i dont fancy venturing off into the night so to speak, but if this was say twice a week it would be more efficient for me. So how many times a week should i ride 12 miles? and i have somewhere in mind that i could ride to and from. note if i have to do this daily i will, i really want this but i dont want to be making any risky trips that are unessicary(sp?) i guess i should time how long it will take me to ride 12miles first but if you could give me a weekly amount i should be doing this itd be appreciated.

It's basically whenever you can fit it into your schedule. I'd start off trying to go 2-3 times a week, and if you feel good then increase it from there. Biking at night sucks, I know what you mean. Is it possible for you to ride your bike to school? Any other places where you could substitute a particular form of transit for riding your bike?
