How much is enuff protein in a day to gain weight and muscle.I don't have access to a gym, what can i do at home that doesn't require any equipment.

Well your really going to need a gym in order to get a decent workout. The only thing you can work on at home is your abs...all other parts of the body are going to need daily weight training. So in terms of protein...I cant see your body requiring the usual bodybuilder dosage, being that you wont be breaking down your muscles to the extreme that they would. With that aside, if you ever do gettttttttt reeeeeeaaaaallllllyyyy and I mean realllllllllly in the sport, like where your competing, many bodybuilders and nutrionists say that you should get one gram per pound of body mass. With me though, I only work out 5-6 days a week 2 hrs a day and while that may seem like a decent its really not in comparsion to someone that is a proffesional. So with that said about me I try to take in about 67-75% of my body mass size. In otherwords I weigh 150 so I dont ever go udner 100 grams. Other than that, even those that only go 2-3 days a week...I still wouldnt recommend going under 60% of your mody mass.On a side note to finish this up, you are also going to want to look at your protein sources if you ever get into weightlifting at even a moderately serious level as I would consider myself. Some protein are utilized by the body better than others. Like for instance with an egg, you body will actually make use of about 95 % of the protien. So if I right, I think an egg has 6 grams of protein, 5.75 of which youd make use of. Milk has an 82% utilization rate, Fish 80, Cheese 70, Brown Rice 70, Meat and Fowl 68, Soybean 61. Now keep in mind some rates are lower than others, because dont have the completed amount of amino acids to give you their potential amount. Such gaps can be filled by combining foods. For instance, Pasta is a prime example. While you wont be able to take advantage of a good chunk of the portein in the pasta alone, when you combine it with some cheese (parameasn cheese ring a bell ), youll be able to take it what if I remember correctly is in the 80-84% range. Id give other examples but it seems like this is one of the last things you have to worry about right now. Id suggest investing in a gym membership. If you are in school, some place offer student discounts, so keep that in mind. Hope this helped.
