I am fifteen and I am not a large, nor have I gained a large amount of weight. With in the last year though, I have gotten some what more female figured, mostly in the hip area etc (didn't get blessed with any boobs though). And I have stretch marks all over my hips and butt, also have a few on my thighs. I haven't worn a bathing suit in a long time because I feel so insecure about it, they are pink-red colored and very noticeable. I also can't where low rise pants like I would like, because the stretch marks show if I don't have a shirt completely covering me. I have heard stretch marks are just part of growing up? Is this true? Is there anything I can do to help make them a little more noticable?I have many insecurities about myself as it is, and this one has been bugging me for a long time. Thanks in advance.

Stretch Marks

Perfectly normal, i was really small growing up and i got them in my inner thighs and my boobs. You can buy a cream for it (it may have a pregnant lady on the cover) at your grocery store or drug store. Its vitamin E and cocoa butter, makes then hardly noticable at all

yeh its normal in puberty- your body goes through so many physical changes in such a short amount of time (similar to a woman going through pregnacy)i got some in my inner thighs which i was self concious about at the time but nowi can hardly see thema lot of people say creams work(you can buy special creams or for exapme you could use a moisturizer with cocoa butter etc) however, as annoying as it sounds, time is the biggest healer-mine used to be pinky, nowi cant really see them, mayeb theyre a bit silvery. so wouldnt waste money on creams that say they get rid of stretchmarks because theyre usually a waste of money. its always good to keep your body well moisturized anyway...

actually they really do work, they got rid of mine in weeks

Well at least it's normal. Can't say I am too thrilled about being "marked" for life (even if they do fade some what). I think I'll try some cream, if it doesn't work, I doubt it will have any negative side effects so it makes sense to give it a try.
