The same exact thing just happened here to a friend of mines nephew. He was 14. They say alot of kids between 9 and 15 are trying this "game". I want to try to talk to my son about it, but I don't even know how you bring something like this up.

Maybe just talk to him about what happen to your friend's nephew and how sad you think it is. Lead that convo into letting him know how dangerous this "game" is. That's a really good way to get your message and concerns across, and often very effective.

This poor kid was found by his sister in his closet. SHe heard the thump and went to see what happened. Turned out his entire 8th grade class was going to try the game before graduation and he was the third to actually do it. So very sad. He was a good kid and just did not realize that this is a very dangerous thing to do. Kids at that age do not understand that they can actually die.The thing I am scared about is, if I bring it up to my son would I be putiing the idea in his head?? I don't know. I feel I should talk to him before he does hear about this through friends and such.
