i have been feeling sick lately and constepated. i thought that that was the reason why i might not feel good so last night i was feeling more crappy than usual so i forced myself to go. after a struggling a small "stool" came out and in it was this white string looking thing. for those of you who have seen what it looks like click the link. its probably one of the weirdest and grosest things i have done but here it is. and if you cant look at things that are gross then dont click it.its kind of blurry so alittle uneasy to identify http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c186/whatthisisidontknow/ac4c8904.jpg . i told my mom today and she just said it was probably mucus. i didnt show here the picture but i dont think she believes me.i also read you can get it from uncooked meat and the other day i had mcdonalds and the hamburger was kind of red. what do you think?
-
Its been asked... WORMS
-
The picture is a bit blurry and it's not very clear whether it's mucus or a worm.Worms are usually picked up by eating their eggs, which are tiny and can get transferred to food by bad hygiene on someone's part (possibly a MacDonald's employee). They are easy to treat, though, with over-the-counter medication from a pharmacy.
-
If it were a worm it would probably be moving don't you think?
-
If it were injested wouldnt the stomache acid destroy it?I know dogs get worms from eating garbage and other dogs shit but I thought thier acid was maybe a bit different then ours.Never really thought about it but I didnt realize that it was possible or humans to get somethign like that.tape worms I knew but it seems to me we are talking in this case about something different that I didnt realize could be applied to humans?
-
Humans can get all kinds of parasites, including ones that live inside the digestive system. Have you ever seen a dog crap out a live roundworm? Humans can do the same thing.
-
Well the worms don't get in by crawling up your ass!
-
Nope, they crawl down your throat...on cold foggy nights, when the bats are flying and the wolves are howling.
-
lol no no I guess they didnt.Honestly though I never realized that that was a problem or humans. Maybe that makes me mentaly deficent, or maybe it jsut means I got good hygene?Iv never had to deal with anything like that aside from taking my dog to the vet to get dewormed. I miss that damned dog, she was 16 when she died. Never had them when she was younger so I sorta assumed at that time it was an age thing. I know more now when its applied to dogs, just never realized that humans could seriously suer as well.damnit! that means I learned somethign new from this site again! if this continues Ill have to stop usig this site for entertainement purposes.

fun yet informative...............who knew!

By the way, you generally swallow the eggs, which are acid-reisistant. They then tend to have a complex live cycle inside your body. I'm not sure about the trichina worm, which causes trichinosis. But the worms you might swallow from undercooking infected fresh water fish can cause real problems.

OK.. dinner anyone? Caviar followed by eel?
-
I love eel! It's very nutritious. BTW, most American eel is farmed in eastern Florida. In Chinatown in Boston last year, I had them pick me out a nice one from the tank. They just cut it into segments, and throw it in the pot. I guess you wind up eating whatever the eel had to eat that day.Eel is my favorite sushi (it's cooked).
-
I know.. I love eel too.. smoked preferably! Not so sure about sushi.. only ever tried it once, so maybe it needs another try?Living in Tampa (FL) for a few years was heaven as far as fresh seafood was concerned!
-
I dunno. not against eatting meat but I don't think I could pick something out of a tank that's alive and than eat it.. I dunno, creepys me out a little I guess lol
-
It would creep me out if I had to eat something that was still alive. (Food! I am talking about FOOD! ) For the rest, as long as it is cooked, I am not fussed.
-
Not much sushi is still alive (in Japan, you can get a type of small shrimp that you swallow while they're alive). But fish that has lived in fresh water (like salmon) needs special preparation if it's going to be eaten raw.
-
LOL! I know that sushi is not alive! I was merely alluding to the fact that while I like eel, I am not so keen on sushi.I prefer my food dead!
-
It was all alive at one time. Maybe what you're eating had (or still has) a soul.
-
Not bothered about the soul.. if it still has one, it can communicate with mine (assuming I have a soul!).. but it needs to be dead before I eat it!
-
so all those gold fish I used to swallow at partys have souls wimming thru my body shitting inmy extremities?I hope soul shit isnt as messy as live goldfish shit.
