There is a side effect of tremors from Wellbutrin or Paxil or maybe both... I was on them several years ago and they took me off of them and changed it to something else, as I was having these left arm shaking episodes

PaxilWhoah. Trembling can be a side effect of Paxil. What dose are you on (and CR or regular)? When my father was once on high doses of Paxil, he would move around a lot just as he fell asleep (a type of dyskinesia, I guess). Sometimes his hand would shake when he was awake, but I'm not sure if that was connected with the Paxil. You need to discuss that with your doctor pronto.

My G/f had a VERY close incident like this. She has High blood pressure and it took a while to diagnose. I had a BP monitor at my home from when my Grandma and Grandpa had used one daily. Her mom told us from symptoms that she had that thats what the problem was.It always read normal so we figured it was the stress from her eyes. got em checked and glasses and no change, well her head aches are gone but not the rest. BP still said normal. She made an appointment and went to the doc. her blood pressure was off hte fucking charts.those monitors are only good for so long. they need to be recalibrated and kept up. Most of them are not worth th money to get a calibration perormed and its cheaper to replace it.I thought it was bulshit went and got a new one.took her BP with both of them and the old said good the new said shit.Get teh BP checked at the Doc.It took two months of them screwing around with the meds to get it right but now she has perfect BP.She is 32 and her sister is 28, they both have high blood pressure and it is partly hereditary.Maybe Im full of shit when its applied to you but its worth looking into to make sure thats not the problem. The symptoms are so damned close that I would almsot wager a guess that its that.Course it could be that your other meds are causing the problems, or there is yet another new problem.Just saying, dont rule it out and dont trust that BP you have at home unless you know its calibrated and accurate.
-
I'll get that rechecked because the BP machine is at least seven years old and hasn't been used since mom got out of the hospital five years ago.The Paxil is the regular not the CR, it's 30mg once a day and I've been on it for four years. The Wellbutrin is 30mg and is twice a day, been on it for three years or something like that. The Paxil did cause me to completely lose interest in sex, which is why I'm also on the Wellbutrin now.
-
I didn't even know that people were on Paxil and Wellbutrin at the same time.As far as the Paxil is concerned, a psychiatrist I spoke to thinks that CR is a better idea, to keep the level of the drug more constant (even though it hangs around for a long time, you still get a spike some time after you swallow the pill). But if it is causing problems, the doctor might want to try another SSRI.Is there a pharmacy near you, with a blood pressure tester? It would probably be more accurate that the one that you're using at home.
-
paxil has that efect on many many of its users. Some people decide its worth it sice they dont fel so down and mental all the time. The Wellbutrin Im ot familiar with so I wont make any comment towards it. I didnt think about the BP machines at pharmacys, they tend to be kept up.Shit goto walmart, theres one on every corner so I know your near one of them and they all have a BP machine.Good luck
-
It seems to me that your mental state is not being adequately treated. Living with so little sleep and so much stress is very unhealthy as well as unpleasant, and in my opinion your whole treatment regimen needs reviewing.
-
hon how can you manage on so little sleep? I would be inside for murdering someone if i had as little as you, seriously. Its the only time i feel low, and talk about she bitch from hell............you need an overhaul my young man, now away to be picked at, prodded and poked big hugs
-
Angel, sorry I missed your question in the above post before. As for how I manage on so little sleep, I guess, I've just gotten used to it. I've had to deal with it or loose my job. As for how it affects me, it does turn me into a raving lunatic with sever anger problems. Thus why no one can stand to be around me be weeks end.
Well people, I'm back after being poked, prodded and probed by every medical professional with-in a thirty mile radius. Conclusion, my blood pressure is off the charts 194/117, and it has stayed in that range. I didn't tell him about the ringing and elec. current stuff because I would have ended up in the hospital for sure. Apparently those are signs of blood pressure spikes. The doc wanted to put me in hospital but I finally begged & pleaded enough, that he didn't. With a $10,000 dollar deductible there is no way I could afford it. Instead, I got a bunch of pills then had to go in yesterday and then again next Tuesday, at which time, he said, he will most likely put me in the hosp. anyway. I get to be broke for the new year. Woo Hoo! Also to top all of this loveliness off I have gotten pink eye in both eyes.
Incidentally, the AMA, or some authoritative body, has decided to change the name from "Pink Eye" to "Red Eye" I don't know what prompted the name change and apparently they haven't decided what to call the three A.M. flights yet.
As for why my BP is so high, I already knew but the psych. verified it, stress from work. I hate this old fucker I work for so much that I don't even look at him anymore when he's talking to me.
I have been looking for another job but the shrink said step it up and do everything I can to get fired and get more sleep, before I fall over dead. All the shrinks I have ever seen end the session with the same two questions, "Are you suicidal?, Are you homicidal?" She seemed concerned about my answers to those this time. I have always answered, absolutely not. This time I answered, "No, but I don't care if die., and No, but I hope some people die some very painful deaths and soon."
I do feel better, now. I guess cause my aim is to get the hell out here no matter what. It's kinda liberating. Not to mention, the thought, that after I leave his business is going to tank.
So, when the day comes that I just disappear, that means I've finally managed to get fired, found another firm that is highering or the blood vessel in my head has finally burst and I'm dead...j/k
-
Well that's not great news, but I thought worse. I was worried that you had some sort of tumor going on in your brain. At least this should be treatable. Hope you find a better job. Good luck.
-
Actually, next week I have an appointment with an audiologist and a neurologist to verify that I don't have a tumor somewhere in my head. But I'm not thinking about that at this point.

OMG hon your a mess!I can't beleive your blood pressure is so high.Life is too precious to be living it like this, i know there is obviously monetary reasons for staying in your job, but NOTHING, is worth living every day like this.A friend of mine used to be a big player in a high power company etc, big house, big cars, holidaysand STRESS..........he lost his friends, they couldnt' bare to be around him, he lost his wife, he wasn'thome a lot, or, she hated spending time with him...........in the end he ended up in a mental institution with a breakdown and lost everything, his job, his house, his cars.......he cameout with nothing but a few clothes, and debts and the only person who would take him in was his parents.5 years down the line, he has picked himself up, got a job, that is crap wages but that he lovesworking with children and families, he has a small rented property which he adores, a crappy car that hedoesn't mind if the kids dent, and a woman who loves him to bits, and he never stops smiling. You have to realise that your life, is important, that you are important to your wife and friendsget rid of the job, fuck it! there is always a better way, though it might take you to hit rock bottom before you find it.big hugs
-

>>>"OMG hon your a mess!"
Babe, you have no idea how big the mess is....LoL
>>>"Life is too precious to be living it like this, i know there is obviously monetary reasons
for staying in your job, but NOTHING, is worth living every day like this."I know, the only reason I have stayed as long as I have is because I was supposed to buying the business. Then I could move it back home. But, alas, that just keeps getting put off. Of course, after having spent boo-koo bucks getting contracts drafted and re-drafted that he agreed to and liked but just wouldn't sign. One more thing that makes leaving hard is there are only 125 firms that do this in the U.S. and the next nearest one is about 400 miles away and I'm not moving. I'm a person who finds happiness in where I'm at and not so much what I'm doing.
>>>"A friend of mine used to be a big player in a high power company"
I'm neither a big player, nor is it a high powered company.
>>>"big house"
House isn't to big vintage 1927 with all the lovely old house stuff. Ya know, like, the fireplace sinking into the earth and taking the whole front of the house with it. Joy Joy..
>>>"big cars"
Several cars, but none that have been running for the last 6 months. I'm sure mom would like her car back. hehe...
>>>"he lost his friends"
Yeah.. for the most part. But hey, I got you Babe....resist the urge to have a Sonny and Cher moment.
>>>"he lost his wife"
Not yet but have been close.
>>>"he wasn't home a lot"
Only home long enough to sleep and eat.
>>>"she hated spending time with him"
Not quite there yet, but I know I'm no fun"
>>>"in the end he ended up in a mental institution"
Not inside yet, but they have me in the truck at the front gate. It looks so restful...j/k Just can't handle all the white coats and white rooms to much like the place I work. He has all the windows covered over except one little port hole that looks out onto a parking lot and all the walls are white with no artwork and only reference books to break the monotony.
Things will change for the better soon though, because I have finally decided to give up on the path I had chosen and set out anew.
Thanks for all you said and love ya, Babe. You to Eddie, stay sexy hon...LoL
-
Hey why arn't i told to stay sexy pout LOLi wasn't meaning you had a big house, cars etc, i was saying that things arn't important, your health, love, family and friends IS...........love you too darlin, and really want you to be happy and well.....big kisses and hugs
-
I know what you meant hon. I was just being long winded and refusing to work.Well Angel, nobody needs to tell you to stay sexy. That would be like telling the mountain to stay majestic, it can't be anything but that. The same applies for you also, Eddie. I sense that I am starting to dig myself into a hole, so I'm going to say, your both sexy beasts. Now I'll shut up before the hole gets any deeper....LOL
-
Hey why arn't i told to stay sexy pout LOLBecause sweetie you're naturally sexy.. I have to work at it. I hope to be as naturally sexy as you! wink

Hmmm....crazy-ass speculation was good. With blood pressure that high, you should have been put right in the hospital. Too bad our health care system is such a useless piece of crap. Americans ought to be ashamed that they tolerate it.You need to take your blood pressure meds religiously. The doctor may have to fine tune what (or what combination) he gives you for maximum effectiveness and minimum side effects.I can't believe that blood pressure that high is just caused by stress. But to the extent that it's making things worse, you need to learn to deal with the stress using techniques like the Relaxation Response (Benson), Yoga, meditation, Tai Chi, deep breathing, etc.Good luck! If you keep your blood pressure under control, you will be fine.
-
"Hmmm....crazy-ass speculation was good."Well said, that's what makes this site so great is the ability of everyone to brainstorm and put forth things never considered or sometimes never heard of ideas.>>>"With blood pressure that high, you should have been put right in the hospital."I know, the doc was wanting to but I'm still paying for my hospital run from a year and half ago.>>>"Too bad our health care system is such a useless piece of crap. Americans ought to be ashamed that they tolerate it."Couldn't agree more. I read somewhere, maybe on here, that a province of Canada was thinking about doing away with health coverage. For those Canadians that think it should be done away with, they just need to come here and try our system or lack there of. As an example of what you will get, a couple of years ago I had to go to the heart doc. The office visit was $435.00 the total bill was like $675.00 or something. The visit consisted of filling out a medical history and getting my BP and pulse taken in 4 or 5 different spots. The second $435.00 office visit consisted of little more than telling me they would need to do more tests. Hell, I knew that the first time I went in there and if he didn't he could have just called. But no, he needed that 435 dollar office visit. I didn't return. Realize, not only is this horribly expensive it drags out finding any kind of resolution to the problem at hand, not just days but weeks if not months. I don't mean to "dis" all doctors there are a lot of good ones, without question. As with anything though, the ones you remember are the rotten ones.>>>"I can't believe that blood pressure that high is just caused by stress." It isn't I've had high BP before but was able to control it with diet and exercise, at least I thought I could. Thanks for the advise, wild ass speculation, and well wishes Steve.

Oh yeah, keep an eye on your salt intake! Most processed food is loaded with it.The problem with our health care system is that if someone has very high blood pressure, for instance, and gets a stroke, and is then hospitalized for a long time and can't work afterward, the cost to society (in dollars alone) is much higher than it would be if that person just got the help he needed in the first place. But people who have good health coverage (like the congresscritters) have other stupid nonsense to worry about. (Like the profits of the pharmaceutical and insurance industries, which basically bribe congress to get what they want.)
