I've been having sex with my girlfriend and a week or two after we started I noticed something that looks like a pimple on my penis. Should I be worried about this? What could it be? Any input would be greatly apreciated.

Do I have an std?

Too hard to tell. It's probably a pimple but we just can't be sure.

Ask your girlfriend if she has had anything that looked like that on her vagina before, or ask her if she has a STD.

Isn't it true that some stds can be cured but others can only be treated? Also, I heard that oral sex of all the three main penetrable methods is the safest, isn't that accurate? Thanks for the replies, A.T.A.

Both statements are correct as far as they go. AIDS and herpes are examples of STDs that usually can only be treated and not eradicated.
Oral sex leads to fewer total cases of transmission that anal or vaginal sex; however it can't be considered as safe. Some STDs can still be transmitted quite easily by oral sex.
