Oh, big words from a big girl.
I do think logically, that's my curse. But if you think I'm stupid for believing in God, w/e, I don't care cause I've got all I need.
SO FUCK YOU!!!

If you've got all you need, why do you protest so vehemently??? I think you protest abit much- having doubts??? Not much of a logical thinker are you?
And yes, I'm a big girl- got a problem with that?
Oh and cussing in Caps, is defintaly going to help your arguement. Good Choice
Of course I don't have doubts. The one and only God is the only thing certain in life, whether or not you believe. Just because you think what you call "logic" rules the world doesn't mean things will stop happening the way they have since God created the earth. But apparently you do not know me because I am an overly logical thinker. But I don't give a flying pig's ass whether or not you know me or think you do or think you can infer things from my posts, w/e. I don't need your approval and to be honest you can burn in hell for all I care.
Well, alot of your arguement stems from the belief that a god created the earth. Since its not true- your arguement is void.
You know, you seriously don't strike me as very "christian like". Your attitude, choice of words, and severe anger very much diminish your opinion. If there is a hell, I'd bet you'll be burning right next to me sweetie.
How do you know it's not true? Just because YOU don't believe it doesn't make any less true or false. You can't prove God doesn't exist anymore than we can prove he DOES exist. So your argument is void as well. The difference between science and God is that science has it all laid out for you and you don't have to think about it much to know if it's real because they've done the work for you. God is completely different. You have to have faith. You have to dig deeper. I have faith there is a God and that everything happens for a reason. I don't know who's "going to burn in hell" but I know I certainly will not be one of them. You think what you want, I'll continue to pray and wear my cross and be threatened with jail if I bring my Bible to class. I'm tired of getting pushed around by people who are calling me "stupid" because I believe in God. What do they believe in? Only what they see, hear, and touch?? I personally think that THAT is the easy way out. To only trust what you see, hear, and can touch...it's tangible so you already know it's real. You don't have to put your faith into anything. You say religion or believing in God is an easy way out? I dare you to prove me wrong when I tell you're it's the other way around. And I know a lot of you will argue til your blue in the face. But people have no faith. They only trust what they see, hear, and can touch and that is just too easy for me.
So where's you "logical proof" that God doesn't exist???You can't see or touch God so there isn't one??? So by following logic, by looking at you, I can't see or touch your brain, so therefore, logically, you don't have one. That's what your saying.
Worried - while I respect most of what you post, going at Insight the way you are is wrong. In the Bible it says that The Word of God can be a double edged sword. It also that if you're ashamed of Him before others, He will be ashamed of you before His Father. This meaning the Bible can either hurt or help. You're hurting others and pushing them away and while it's okay to make sure others know you believe in God it's not our job to make a person a believer. It IS our job to put the word out there so they can hear it but NOT force it upon people, that only makes them turn away. Not to scold or chide you but think about how you talk to others and ask yourself, "if I was a non-believer and a "believer" was talking to me this way, would I want to listen?"
Cenfath, That was an excellent post, and I couldn't agree more. Neither side of this debate should be attacking the other side personally. Doing so only weakens their position. (as totally random aside, I also read your post in the abortion forum, and I have to agree that your mother sounds like an amazing woman).Let me make a similar argument to the one you just, but I direct this post at the atheists in this forum. Personal attacks only weaken your position as well, but furthermore, why are some atheists so anxious to disprove God and insult religious people? I too am an atheist, but I cannot agree that deductive logic dictates the non-existence of God. All logical systems are reducible to axiomatic and ultimately baseless premises. There is no reason why that basic axiom cannot be the existence of God. Yes, some tenets of various sects do contradict empirical evidence, but it's foolish to extend this criticism to every religion or belief in God (particularly as you don’t know the religious beliefs of those you attack). Some people simply believe, and I see even less reason for atheists to proselytize than for religious people to proselytize. As long as no one is forcing their religion down your throat, and as long as their religious beliefs aren't harming you, I urge you to let them be. I personally cannot tolerate the use of religious extremism as a weapon, but I simply don’t see that happening in this thread. The original poster was merely looking for religious advice…
dont shower me a barrage of insults for saying this worried, but turn the other cheek bro.practise what you preach.something like that has to be fundamental to christianity right?
who'd of thought. an infidel's and a wiseman's argument all rolled into one. if you ignore all the liberal "FUCK YOU"'s and "NO, FUCK YOU"'s then this is a half decent debate. It would be so much... nicer (crap word, but cant think of the one im looking for) if people could just debate something without resorting to insults or slurring the others beliefs but, meh shrugs it isnt exactly a perfeect world we live ini dont believe in God personally. if i do end up outside those pearly gates at the end of it all im going to be more pissed off at him than anything else. grins yet another little random thought struck me. if i did believe in him that would be 2 sets of parents for me to hate. "Oh Father, who art in heaven..."anyways, im done with this topic till this bickering stops. hopefully soon as id like to post in this more. thank you
Religion is very interesting indeed. I personally think it's nice to have something you can hang on to in times of need, but whether or not religion is just a human fabrication to make up for our lonelyness in the universe or there is truth to it, we may never know.
