I thought of posting this in a different forum because its a medical condition, people driving and nearly hitting my ass end and swerving back and forth almsot clipping my car and assholes that speed up slow down speed up slow down and travel inthe left lane going 10 under the speed limit, well they all lead to my stress and desperation to hurt them very seriously.I yell and scream and give hand jestures and in the summer its not too bad, alot of people have windows down and can hear me and the roads are not icy and slick so there is less ofa chance o an actual collision so I get by but in the winter I nearly shit myself and cant make sure they realize that im pissed and they need to be pulled from thier car and beaten with a large blunt metal object. Now I can get my point across, and 20 bucks is a small price to pay.i just ordered my set and Im posting alink of the samples here for you to view and maybe one day we can give each other signs while driving down the freeway.Mostly I thought it was funny but you can also be sure that ill use them when they arrive in my mail.If you see a Dark green Taurus SHO flying by you holding up a sign for you to read, you can be almost certain its me, so wave hello (one finger will do).Steve I know youll tell me one more time that this will get me killed in your neck of the woods, Im glad im not in your neck of the woods and when I head there on vacation, Ill be sure to leave my cards at home, Im sure they will earn me a ass beating here at home sooner or later but I get into enough fights with out them that I dont think it will really add to many extra. ROADRAGE

Road Rage.

Those signs are pretty funny! And I agree some people drive way too aggressively. About 2 months ago Adam (my BF) was driving home from work and this guy was riding his ass almost the whole way, and Adam said he could tell the guy was getting pissed because he would swirving into the other lane but couldn't get ahead of Adam because the car beside Adam was going the same speed (Adam said he was going about 75mph, so it wasn't like he was in the fast lane going slow). Well finally the other car got off an exit and the guy behind Adam came beside him and starts screaming load enough that Adam could hear him through his windows and such. Well than the guy was going to be an ass and cut Adam off but he cut it too close and ended up clipping the front side of Adam car. Well like that wasn't bad enough, when they finally get pulled off to the side of the road from the accident the guy comes flying out of his car and tries to pull Adam from the vehicle. Luckily Adam's car door was locked. This guy was pounding on Adam window, trying to pull the door open and threatening him the whole time on how he's going to beat the shit out of Adam. Well Adam calls 911 and tells them he was in an accident and the guy who hit him is trying to pull him form the car. Well than he calls me and I get there and the guy is back into his car waiting. Well we sat there 45 minutes before the police got there, and that's after calling 911 two more times! Thank god the guy never got a hold of Adam. Anyways to make the long story short, the guy ended up yelling at the cop too and threatening Adam everytime the cop would walk away so he couldn't hear. The other guy got sided and that was pretty much it, did over 2k worth of Damage. Personally I think he should have gotten assult charges but wasn't up to me.

All that roadrage stress will give you a heart attack. Those signs are funny though!
-
If you were there when he was threatening him then it was up to you.Assault is simply the threat battery is the actual physical assault. You could of beena witness and Adam could of insited tothe oficer that he wanted to push assault charges against the guy.Keep in mind though that the ast lane is only for passing not a travel lane. no matter how fast your going there its to get in and pass and get back over. I know everyone travels in it or miles and miles and niles, but it still was designed as a lane to get in to get around slower traffic.Im not talking 3 lanes of freeway now, but htat two lane hiway shit is to pass and get back. 3 lanes the 3rd is for passing and the middle for travel and the right to enter and exit. This is nt a traffic lesson :P just a reminder that will go ignored by millions to drive the damned car and pay attention and stay off your damned phone. The signs though are funny. In the future Ill give you a tip, if you pull over and are going to get into a fight do what I say. Iv been alone and come out ok against two people.Be the first out of the car, when the driver goes to get out KICK the door closed on his shin. Hes done and leaves one person to fight isntead of getting ganged by two of them.Course there is always a good chance of getting shot when running upto the door.

Well, I wasn't there when the guy was attacking Adam car trying to get to him. When I showed up the guy was back in his car. When the officer arrived he was pretty rude and told me to leave, which I didn't understand but I did as the officer said and left. Well when Adam got home I asked him what all happened. Well when he said nothing about the assault I asked Adam if he told the officer, and he said no. Adam told me that he put both of them in the back of his car at the same time to give their side of the story, so Adam was scared if he said anything the guy would attack him. Personally I would have said something and if he attacked me at least there was a cop present.. but Adam avoid confutations when possible.
As for the traffic idea, in Ohio traveling in both lanes is legal, regardless of speed. Unlike in PA the left lane is for passing only and if caught traveling in the left lane you will get a ticket. Plus when the accident happened was just after and exit and entrance ramp and it was during rush hour on the highway so Adam was in the right to be in the left lane to let incoming traffic merge with on going traffic.
Regardless the guy was a complete hot head. He even threatened Adam's with attacking his family and everything. I mean seriously people like him need to have their driving privileges revoked.

I saw it on CNN...pretty funny. The disclaimer is also amusing.
-
"road rage" "air rage" "massage-parlor rage"... bunch of crap... act like an asshole then make the excuse that it's a medical condtion by giving it a name.
Although, what might help is a "sorry" of "yeah, my mistake" sign. -
lol no no you misread, when I said mdical condition I was being sarcastic
-
But he has a point. Why bother having a special name for becoming angry while you're driving?
There should be couch rage, sitting-on-the-toilet rage, eating-at-McDonald's rage, etc.
-
I never experience the eating mickey dees rage, I jsut avoid that place. If you experience the sitting onthe toilet rage then maybe you need more fiber in your diet. If Im in public and going to experience that particular rage I like to use the cripple stall as it has handles around it so you cna get a good grip to push and lots of leg room and they normally keep that one stocked with paper even if no others are filled.
I can see his point, well it makes more sense to my mind the way you wrote it thenthe way it was written. So long as everyone knows thatIm not so pretensious as to belive me being an asshole yelling at people that drive like shit because they are on the phone or playing with the radio or what ever the hell they are doing instead of driving is a medical condition.
I have anger issues, I know that. issues, not medical issues, just issues. -
That Saturday Night Live sketch, where batteries of missile launchers were mounted on the roofs of buildings, and would blow up cars whose alarms randomly went off, was pretty funny. If you could mount sshle-seeking missiles on the roof you your car...

Some pick-up truck cut me off (for absolutely no reason) one day, on my way to work, a long time ago. I was in the middle lane, and I was definitely keeping up with traffic. Being a complete ******* that day, I sped up and cut him off. After that, he tried to ram my car, so I sped way up (my old Celica couldn't really go that fast) and zig-zagged through traffic, trying to keep away from him. I got off on an exit ramp, and he followed me. I stopped at the bottom of the ramp (red light), and he got out of his pickup and started coming after me. I took off just as he got to my car, and drove into Woburn, MA. He kept chasing me. I finally found my way to the police station and stopped. He decided to keep on going. I did memorize his license plate number, but what could I say? He was being mean to me?Yes, Chance, there is a good possibility that I would have been shot if I did that in Miami rather than Massachusetts. A lot of people drive around with guns, and I think the tempermental people are more likely to have them.

Lol, that's funny. My brother definately has some serious issues with road rage. He'll run someone off the road. And then say something insulting.

In reply to: lol no no you misread, when I said mdical condition I was being sarcastic In reply to: Im not so pretensious as to belive me being an asshole yelling at people that drive like shit because they are on the phone or playing with the radio or what ever the hell they are doing instead of driving is a medical condition.I have anger issues, I know that. issues, not medical issues, just issues. Hey, I wasn't calling you an asshole. I have a few anger issues myself(or so the stupid cops told me).Anyway, I was just critisizing the whole "XYZ-rage phenomina". I think we're on the same page, right?Oh, and believe me, I live in my car so I see some some truely remarkable shit out there. I sometimes wonder what Darwin would say about the survival of some of these people

Now I cant say that Iv never fucked up driving and made a mistake, nor can anyone else, we have all screwed up driving. Iv beenknown to turn my hand around adflip myself off when the guy I screwed is watching and shrug my shoulders at them. Im not talking about mistakes, I mean people with cell hpones glued to thier heads and one guy that was in front of me at a light who was playing with is radio whe it went green, after about 10 seconds I honk and he holds up his finger telling me 'one minute' and continues to fumble with his radio.
I droppedthe Bronco I had at the time into 4 low and puhsed his ass across the intersection. On the other side he pulled over and so did I, I got out and he stomped his gas pedal to teh floor and took off.
I can understand missing a light turning but when you expect people to wait while you adjust the station on the radio, Ill ram you every time. A minor mistake that noone got hurt from is a minor mistake but ignorance and arrogance is bullshit.
Ishould chill and as Iv gotten olderand it takes me longer to heal Iv quit and calmed down alot. I used to go drinking and get in a fight or 3 and be good to do it again the next day, now at 34 instead of 21 I take a few weeks to heal and it hurts more to get hit. Iv been stabbed 2 times and shot once, those calmed me down a bit as well.I drove truck for a few years, truckers who are supposed to be the proffessionals are some of the worst drivers, not all but most of them. They become familiar with driving and it breeds contempt and then they have idiots who follow in the blind spot and pull up at a light onthe left while they have the signal on to go left and cut off thier turnig radius. San Diego isnt tha tbad about that shit but try driving a load with a trailer into New York its a god damned night mare.
Really if everyone paid attention to what they did and to the road it would make it alot easier to remain calm instead of getting pumped up and pissed because some asshole nearly clipped my front end because he was talking on the cell and screwing around with the radio. Peoplethat are too lazy to flick on a blinker send me mad as well. its so easy to reach a finger down and flick it up or down. -
Oh shit man, no worries, we are on the same page and for the record Im an asshole, I know I am because my oen mom has told me I am so it must be true
Just making sure that ya knew I know its not a medical condition just a personal issue.
No worries. -
lmao... is the medical community looking for a cure to Assholery?"give generously as we work towards a cure. Many people in developed countrys are sever assholes yet don't know it a could become carriers. While, more and more assholes are appearing in the developing world as we speak."

I remember one time I was driving to school.. and on this highway u have to get over 3 lanes (because they all end eventually) and this guy behind me.. tried to get infront of me before i could move over.. so i checked my blind spot and it was empty, he was driving like a maniac!! Then when i get into the next lane there is this guy behind me .. right up my ass yelling and screaming. It scared the shit outta me ... I laughed though
-
That's true for people who have cars in front of them, but if someone is sitting in the left lane, with no one in front of them, and they can easily move to the right, but they choose to hang out in the left lane, then they're either intentionally trying to prove a point, on their cell phone, or lost in space. I any case, they're provking other drivers for no good reason. In Massachusetts, there is actually a state regulation that says that you're in violation if you sit in the left lane and you're not passing...at least for 3+ lane roads. I once talked to a lawyer who insisted that he could drive in any lane he wanted to, as long as he wasn't going under the minimum speed limit. I cited the specific statute. He conceded. Now he's a better driver.
-
Passing on the right is illegal, at least in Massachusetts and New Hampshire (two of the three states in which I've had drivers licenses), as is driving in the left lane if you're not passing. I don't even know what the regulations are in Florida, but here they're just considered mild suggestions anyway.I'm not sure what the point is in sitting in the left lane and cruising slowly (you could never get away with it in France or Germany), but it does sometimes cause people who want to pass to do crazy, mindless things. If the person sitting in the left lane thinks that the potential loss of life is worth the point he is trying to prove, that is fine. But he should at least follow the law.A Massachusetts state (I know, it's a commonwealth) policeman once said that law enforcement should be left to the police, and it does more harm than good to sit in the left lane and drive the limit. I wonder if that was from when I was in bad driver school because I had to many speeding ticket in the course of five years...
