I've been browsing these forums for month and only just registered. One of the first things I thought I'd discuss is sexuality. There have been many posts on here along the lines of "I am straight but I like guys to suck my cock am I bisexual or gay?". The answer is usually "No, you are straight unless you fall in love with a guy but sex doesn't count". There seems to be a big flaw in that theory:SEXualityHetroSEXUALBiSEXUALHomoSEXUALSo doesn't this mean that sexuality is to do with... sex? Really, if a guy likes to get sucked by a guy etc, but still likes girls, then surely they are bisexual

Gay if you have sex with men but not relo?

As you observed, it depends how you define it. The question is, Why the need for labels?

In reply to:The question is, Why the need for labels? Why not? I'd like to know exactly what a guy or girl is willing to do. It's annoying when you don't know someone's sexual orientation, never mind having to ask them and then being told "Well I go out with girls, but I like guys to suck my cock but I don't really count that as sex and I don't do anal at all"!Man / WomanYellow / RedCountriesReligionsDog / CatEverything has a label, it makes things nice and simple!By the way I am bisexual. I have both sexual and emotional attractions towards men and women, just to make that clear.

There is a huge number of combinations of what people are willing to do with whom or what. Are you going to come up with a word for each of them?People can't agree on definitions for homosexual, bisexual, or heterosexual. Even if you could, you still don't know exactly what the other person is willing to do unless you ask.

Personally my opinion on labels is negative. I think labels do nothing but harm society. There are a lot of people when they hear the word Homosexual they think it as negative, when it's nothing even close to being negative. Social Labels do nothing but cause harm.As for your original question, a lot of these people asking "Am I gay" are young and experimenting. I would never tell someone who is 14 they are gay, simply because who knows if they are! I'm a gay male and didn't realize I was gay until I was almost 18 years old (I'm 25 now). When boys are young, they are known to experiment and have thoughts because they are trying to figure out who they are.. Not to mention sexuality is very complicating at that age.One last thing, homosexuality is not about sex. It's an emotional feeling/attachment. I knew for sure I was gay when I got emotionally involved with my first BF, even though when I was 15 I messed around with a guy. I just figured when I was 15 I was just experimenting and went back to dating females.Last comment, it's not up to other to tell someone else if they are gay/straight/bi, only the person asking the question can answer it.

I would consider your acts bisexual. And if I knew you as a neighbor and not just over an internet forum I would consider you bi. Yeah yeah labels can be negative but they are a fact of life. Do what makes you happy and if this is the way you go about your sexual life who cares.. I am curious though, how long of an "experiment" does it take for a homosexual or bisexual to figure out that is what they are?? I only had 1 experiment with a women and I knew what I was.

There is no "how many times", it's all individual. It took me a few times messing around with another guy to realize I was gay. I put myself in denial before hand just saying I was experimenting. Finally I accepting that i was gay.
Again it's all individual, there's no set amount of times.

I'm 15, I just got my first bf like two months ago we have..er...done things and I know for sure I'm gay. But I didn't care about all that. I believe it's purely an emotional attatchment, it's more of a 'can you picture yourself loving another guy' kindof question than a 'I like guys to suck my cock, am I gay?'
