I'm not really interested to know, but for the sake of better understanding about life i'm wondering. Here's my little story. About 2 months ago I started geting large amounts of depression, thought of suicide and all this negative crappola about my life. I was getting tired in very quick periods of time and i sometimes even had to make deep inhales because my breathing was so hollow. I was losing weight and had a lack of apetite, my skin was pale most of the time and i was seeing everything in black and white. I lost my dry sense of humor as well. ( The ability to make freindly humor out of vertually everything without having to hurt people's feelings) I also had a growing contempt of other boys, i hated them for their hornyness, the way they treated one another, and their lack of maturity and intelligence. (My IQ is 133 out of 140 = genious so most people i consider dumber than me but i didn't write this to brag about my smartness) At the same time, i had absolutly no desire to masturbate or even think about penises and vasginas. I thought "Horny people can burn in hell for all i care" And when i did try masturbating again durring this depression it took a very very very long time to feel any sort of pleasure. i mean REALLY long, compaired to what it usuually takes. I'm taking meds now and i'm happy as an angel, i also used something called the power of intention which utalises your mind to bring your desires into the phyical world. (My desire and intention was to have a bright and cheery day, it worked.)Although i could care less, i've noticed that my height has increased substantially in the past 2 years, and that I'm taller than my mom, and almost as tall as my dad. But my genitals, other than pubic hair, show little growth developement, I dont know how long the shaft is, i have no desire to measure it as that seems rather stupid. But this whole genital thing was only a small peice of my question. So my question is, does depression put a hault on growth/sex drives.

Does depression stop/delay puberty/sex drive
-
Welcome to A2A, Smith916, and thanks for feeling free to post your question. I don't know about depression affecting the physical growth of your genitala, but it sure will play hell with your sex drive. You don't say how old you are, so it's hard to gauge where you might be in puberty. But, now that you're on medication, and (based upon the growth spurt info) puberty development seems to be on track, you should will most probably be seeing development of your genitals as well.
-
for a start my IQ tested was 124..........but i am mostly as thick as a tree LOLyes, depression has a profound effect on your sex drive, not sure about growth etc. It sounds like you are going through a growth spurt were everyone else but the genital area seems to be getting bigger, but it will catch up Good to hear that you are on the brighter side of depression

I am 13 years old so you know, and if my IQ ment nothing, then by testimony of one of my teachers, and i quote. "Brendan (me) is by far the brightest/smarest tudent in this school and that i've ever see" - nancy morris"Brendan has an enormous vocabulary, and is reading on a 6th grade reading level." - Mrs abrams, 1st grade teacher"Brendan Is my favorite student" - Sue KeilsonJudging by what i sent you you might think that i like to brag. But if your in my shoes, imagine every single day having the average students saying "Why do you use such 'big words" "OMG brendan is so smart, he's a F***ing genious" "Ask brendan he's a f***ing genious" You get really tired about people gushing about your smartness. The point i wanted to make was that even though i'm good natured, i often look down at other students because i cant empathize what it's like not to be myself" Here's a quote of my own "Mrs Miguire? (Health teacher) can i put a muzzle on all of the horny boys in the class?"
-
You're not too smart in the vocab, grammar, or spelling department.

Ieyeyetetge'm a veeeeeeeerhfagy pootttttttt typiafsdst i cant SPEEEEEEEEEL LLLLLLLLRSGA WERELFDGDFJGTADFGL (I'm a really bad typist if you didn't get my gibberish)I know alot of words, i just cant spell them. For example, I have trouble remembering to spell the word Friends Eff Are Eye EE En Dee. Often I'll spell it like freinds.
-
By the looks of your posts, it's the spelling you can't seem to master, not the typing. Are you posting trying to get a serious answer to your question, or are you "trying" to brag about your so called "intelligence"?
-
alot = a lot, not alot
-
by the look of it just braggin, cos teacher comments on intelligence have little to do with the original question.
-
Yes, spelling and typing = not my strong suit. If you placed your opinion and or answer to the question on the very bottom of my first post which I'll asked, and is entitled. and the question was, does depression stop/delay puberty/sex drives. Wait.. um... as i was saying, if you placed your answer to the question, or opinion, which ever you wrote. Then there's little need to post again, the intelliegence thing was just an explanation as to why I hate/dislike other students for reasons most people would ignore. I do realise now that it wasn't as important as the question, located at the bottom of the firt post, located by the title, and located in this post aswell. Burned Any Additional posters for this thread before it's killed?

I'm not really interested to know, but for the sake of better understanding about life i'm wondering.I don't understand what you're wondering about, or what your question is. Are you asking why you have a low sex drive? What meds are you taking?Edit:OK, your question is in the title of the thread...the content of the first post was just "extra stuff". I suppose that stress (like the stress of depression) can have some effect on your hormone levels, but I'm not aware that it will actually have an effect on your sexual development, or most people would never make it through puberty. Depression can certainly affect your sex drive, though.
-
if you placed your answer to the question, or opinion, which ever you wrote. Then there's little need to post again, hey genuis boy i can post as many posts as i want..............and as for IF i answered, yes i did answer.........shrugs

Here are a series of questions which i am askingCan (meaning is it possible that) or does (meaning that it will no matter what) stop, delay, or slow down puberty procsessed and lower or destroy a wat for sex or hornyness. Here's an example of an answer.Yes, smith, it is said that sometimes people with depression have lower sex drives, however smith, it wont keep you from growing unless it's serious. That's an example of an answer, but i'm not sure if my example is what is true or not. when i have a / it means and or. so... does depression stop, and, or, depay puberty, and, or sex drives. I cant explain it any other way. Sorry for the poor speeeeeeelling.

can [is it possible] for you to be, even more [as in annoyingly so] patronising, you got [as in 2 people posted] answer to your question............

Mr. Smith,Please take a moment to re-read that last post. Now re-read it as if you were your English teacher...heck, your 8th grade reading teacher. See what I'm getting at. For a kid with the IQ you are claiming, your writing is horrendous. I can't even make out what you're trying to say. You're leaving words out, mispelling, etc. and so on. This isn't a dig at you. Please don't take it as such. I think you posted a ligitimate question that would warrant some interesting discussion. I'm sure the others here would agree. But when you a)brag about an IQ, b)write like someone with a third of that IQ, and c) question folks' responses, you're not gonna be taken seriously. So here's my suggestion. Grab yourself a Mountain Dew, take a deep breath, come back and retype your question CAREFULLY, paying attention to grammer and spelling and such. If you do that, I promise you'll be pleased at how these folks respond.
-
I assume you replied before you read my edited post, which was in process while you were composing the post to which I am now replying. Did you find the paragraph following "Edit" to be helpful?
