I'm grossly thin, about 125 pounds (plus or minus 5) and 6 feet, 2 inches tall. (this is a BMI of about 16, for whatever the hell thats worth) I eat everything in sight, unfortunately a lot of unhealthy things. My diet isnt too bad, I love milk and fruit which I eat fairly often, however I do a lot of unhealthy things like have 2-3 hotdogs drenched in mayo and ketchup at 2:30 AM right before I fall asleep 4 nights a week. I simply am constantly eating, I may stuff myself full only to be hungry again literally 3 hours later. I work in a grocery store constantly surrounded by food and out of date spoils headed for the dumpster or foodbank are readily available and I have no trouble finding plenty to eat upon the slightest feeling of hunger. I am 18 years old, and I have been this way for as long as I can remember. My weight has been within 5 pounds of 125 for the last 6 years. This diet is not without protein, quite often I will grill an entire tri-tip or 2 sirloin steaks and eat them for dinner with a knife and fork, and nothing on the side. And if I dont stuff my face with hot dogs for a midnight snack, I usually scramble 6 eggs with sausage chopped up in them and inhale the whole dish.
I'm looking for some type of natural, healthy method to gain a little weight. I would like to be around 140 - 150, which should still be skinny at that height. I like being very skinny, and I realize I should consider myself lucky, however I do believe that at my current weight is unhealthy and need a few more pounds.
I think its clear that diet will not do it since I eat anything and everything with great variety and no change. I would like to stay away from artificial weight gaining formulas (like bars and things). Is gaining more muscle my only hope of gaining weight?
