SO if you do work out every other day at the gym, would it hurt my resting on the off days if I still did push-ups and sit ups? Meaning would my muscles heal normal by tomorrow or did i get em going again and instead should completely not do anything on the off days.

Working out and resting

Thanks. Speaking of pushups/benchpress....is it true that if you want more attention on the front of your chest you should do both exercises with hands close together rather than shoulder length?

I'm pretty certain the closer your hands are together on the bar, the less likely it will hit your chest. I know if you keep them close you can get a good tricep workout, and if you do diamond push ups it really wrecks your arms.
Can someone who knows confirm this? I'm just going off personal experience.

With pressups it is much tougher to do pushups with your hands closer togeather. In the Royal Marines apparently they have to do 100 of that type of pushup every hour! Then again you have to be built like a small country to be considered big enough to get in anyhow!
