Could she be pregenant?
-
it depends what you want, you could take emergency contraception within a 72 hour period after having sex - if you think the risk is quite high that she could be pregant and you dont want a baby on your hands then i guess its quite advisable. its up to you really

I would suggest getting the morning after pill to be safe. I believe you can get it at Planned Parenthood. She really needs make it her routine to take her birth control pill. Good luck!
-
She really needs make it her routine to take her birth control pill. Agreed! Also you need to find condoms that fit correctly as well. Just because you can buy larger size condoms doesn't mean you should wear them.As the others said I'd look into the morning after pill.

Is she nursing the baby?
-
Normally, just after having a baby, a womans body is extremely fertile... so like everyone else has said I would go and get the morning after pill!!!
-
Doesn't breast feeding make a woman less fertile?
-
I believe it's true which is why I asked if she was breastfeeding. Apparently breastfeeding is a natural contraceptive. Quite unreliable I would imagine though.
-
Yes, most of the time while women are breastfeeding thier baby most, if not all, the time then the body rarely releases an egg to be fertile, therefore the girl wouldn't have periods.
-
After the birth or our children, the Gyno told my wife that if she was breastfeeding, she wouldn't need contraceptives, however, becasue it is not 100% reliable, he gave her the "mini-pill". After 6 months and 1 yr respectively, she switched to regular pills when she stopped breastfeeding. What is the mini pill?Similar to the pill, the mini pill is a month-long series of progestin-only pills that must be taken every day (the pill has both progestin and estrogen). The progestin-only pills do not prevent ovulation like the regular pill, but provide pregnancy protection by:Thickening the cervical mucus, which prevents the sperm and egg from joining.Preventing the uterine lining from thickening, which makes it more difficult for a fertilized egg to implant in the uterus and develop.

I took a pill during the time I was breastfeeding my kids. I don't think it was called the "mini pill" but I took it everyday until I was done breastfeeding my kid. I never changed the type of pill I was using like you say your wife did.
-
I don't understand. You say you took it until you were done breastfeeding. What then? There is definitely a mini-pill and that is what my wife took, and then switched to standard birth control pills after breastfeeding.
-
After I was done breastfeeding, I have a normal period cycle now and just take regular birth control pills.
-
So you took regular birth control pills during breastfeeding... if you say you never switched afterwards.
-
No, I am saying that when I was done breastfeeding, I switched to regular birth control pills. I just didn't change pills (like your wife) during breastfeeding. ;D
-
I never changed the type of pill I was using like you say your wife did.> I am saying that when I was done breastfeeding, I switched to regular birth control pills. This is all very confusing.
-
His wife changed birth control pills during breast feeding. I didn't.When I was done breastfeeding, I couldn't take that type of pill anymore because I had started my periods again. So I had to go back on regular birth control pills-get it now.
-
No. What kind of pill were you taking when you were breastfeeding?
-
I don't remember what the name of it was.
It was a birth control that a girl takes everyday, no breaks like normal pills, while she breasts feeds her baby. It isn't harmful to the child. -
I'll bet it was the progestin-only mini-pill. I don't know what else it could possibly have been.
