Itching in the genital area is usually thrush.. I don't know about the bump though..!

What does the bump look like?Genital warts can itch and tingle.

In the U.S., "thrush" generally refers to a candida (yeast) infection of the mouth.A yeast infection (also known as jock itch) is easy to treat, but other things can also cause itching.hifirsttimeuser, please let us know what the doctor says.

In reply to:In the U.S., "thrush" generally refers to a candida (yeast) infection of the mouth. That's interesting. Here it nearly always refers to a vaginal infection. An infection of the mouth will be distinguished as "oral thrush".

According to NIH's MedlinePlus, thrush maps into "oral thrush". So "thrush" means "oral thrush", by common use. "Yeast infection" generally means "vaginal yeast infection", and "jock itch" is a yeast infection of the skin in the male genital area. That's today's lesson in Yankee-talk.
