hi i am 16 years old and i recently started thinking about about my penis. To start off i was masterbating for quiet a long time but the way i was doing it was, i was rubbing my penis on something instead of using my hands. It seems odd but no1 told me how to do it. Now it seems i have a piece of skin connected to the eye of my penis. Also the eye of the penis or the urination hole is red and like a little bulb. I cannot stretch the foreskin behind the head because of that skin attached to the penis eye. It is like a small thread. Can i get any advice?thank you

Skin Bridge?
-
There should be a piece of skin between the underside of the hole and your forekin - that is the frenulum, and its purpose is to help pull the foreskin back. It shouldn't stop the foreskin being retacted, though occasionally it's a bit short and needs stretching. It's not like a small thread, so I'm not sure whether you're describing the frenulum or whether you do have a skin bridge. Skin bridges are not caused by masturbation technique. You might have to get a doctor to look at it.

ive looked at the picture of the frenulum and that is not it, i think it is the skin bridge? is there anyway to solve the problem of a skin bridge without going to a doctor?
-
If it's really, definitely, a skin bridge you can cut it yourself with a sterile blade or scissors.
-
is a skin bridge a rare thing or does every1 have it but they lost it already? what i mean if i wait will it just go away by itself?
-
They happen occasionally, as a result of tissues getting stuck together that shouldn't.It really would be best to get a doctor's opinion - I know that's scary.

one more question, u have been very helpful thank you:what doctor do i see, like my pediatrician or a special doctor becuase i dont know how i can mention this to my parents.
-
A urologist would have particular skills and knowledge, but this is a simple matter, and a pediatrician or an ordinary doctor should be able to handle it.

I know it is sometimes hard to speak with parents regarding issues surrounding your genitals. However, if you are concerned I would suggest speaking with your father. First, he may be able to easily answer your question and tell you everything is normal to relieve your mind. Second, if something doesn't seem normal to him, he will be able to help you find the appropriate doctor and assist you in not being so embarrased in speaking to someone else regarding the issue.I know when I was around 18 or 19 I had something big hanging out of my butt, itching all the time, and bleeding. It really sort of scared me because I had an uncle which had just died of colon cancer. I finally got up enough nerve to speak with my Dad. Who took a look at it for me. As it turned out it was just a hemoroid (which runs in my family). He was able to reassure me that I was fine, show me what ointment to use, and let me know it was no big deal. I am not sure I ever would have got up enough nerve to go talk to a Doctor and I would have just kept worrying about it.So, corner your dad sometime and ask for his advise. You might be surprised, it might provide you a chance to discuss other things that may be of interest to you and he is willing to share.

yo...this is my first post
i am 15 and have the same problem, didnt really noe what it was but my 21 yr old brother also has it
i found out by searching for 'circumcision' in wikipedia.
i told my mum straight after seeing ur post, instead of telling my dad, cause he might make fun of it. also we can talk about almost anything 'mum, i think me and brother needs to go to the doctor...and the rest' she was just like 'okay'. my brother has also mentioned about it before, so she kind of get the idea of it
this problem has been bugging me for about 2 years, and i always picture that a girl who is about to do it with me will be shocked. or would it be better to have it after getting married so she couldnt run away...haha silly me
speak your mind , dont be embarrassed

The original poster's "skin bridge" looks from another post to be the frenulum, which is meant to be there, though there may be a problem with his.

Man, you have to go to a urologist. I am a pre-med student, not a med, but i read stuff about skin bridges. You will need minor surgery, if you want your penis to look aesthetically good, instead of cutting your skin bridges urself. A sking bridges is a complication from curcumsicion, meaning that you penis was not taken care of properly after circumcision. Anyway, go to a urologist, and it will be fine. More info, check this:Adhesions (or Skin Bridges). The process of adhering or uniting of two skin surfaces, especially the union of the opposing surface of the interior foreskin to the glans of the penis (in the uncircumcised) or the opposing surface of the circumcision wound to the bared glans in the newly circumcised (called Skin Bridges). Correction of the adhesion of the foreskin to the glans is by circumcision. Skin bridges in the circumcised male are extremely rare, but if they do occur they are easily corrected with minor surgery. Skin bridges can be avoided in the newly circumcised by insuring that the wound of the circumcision is kept away from the glans penis during healing. This is easily accomplished if the circumcision has removed sufficient foreskin to provide for a moderate to tight circumcision that does not permit the wound to come in contact with the glans penis. If not, daily care must ensure that the wound does not come in contact with the glans during healing. This can be accomplished by keeping the circumcision wound covered or with the application of petrolium jelly. However, regulary inspection should occur in the loosely circumcised boy or man to ensure this condition does not occur. Fortunately, routine infant circumcisions performed by the Hollister Plastibell, which is widely used in the USA, ensure this does not occur as the plastic ring stays in place until the wound is closed.
