well i find it kind of hard that they dont like you because your parents died. they have to be shallow, are you sure there isnt another reason?

I'm pretty sure that's not it. It might make them feel.. a little bit speechless maybe. They may not know what to say, but it isnt that.

Dude... Give us a little more information than that... How old are you, what grade are you in. that kind of stuff. A lot has to do with how old they are and where their heads at. It... Kids are at different places at different ages....I find it hard to believe that they don't like you because your parents die (How tragic, I’m sorry. You must miss them). I can understand if you have a shady past and they are a little apprehensive to establish a relationship other than something plutonic.Help us out here a little more…

Everyone has something about them that is a bit different or out of the ordinary. The only reason i can imagine this putting someone off is if you announce it midway through one of your first convosations. It might appear that you are needy and in need of a surrugate parent.
I have a friend who has cystic phybrosis (which means her life expectency is serious dented)and she tends just not to mention it unless a good reason comes up. The way she carries herself and the way she deals with it makes it not such a big deal, and therefore people don't feel sorry for her. I think when you feel sorry for someone it is hard to have a (sexual) relationship.
