I am debating what I should do. I want to be an Aerospace Engineer and get my PhD in some research field. But I have discovered an uncanny ability to lead and teach and mechanically. I have become very good at a lot of things, a lot. I love space though: Planetary Nebula I would love to build, interplanetary ships and design them. That would be so awesome.

An Admin in a doctors office. Which I am hating right now.
But I will be back in school soon for Anthropology in the subfield of Archaeology.

Architectural Design Consultant. In other words architects pay me to design parts of crappy buildings they put their name on. Money is pretty good, but the 200 mile a day commute and sitting in an office all day just isn't me. Thinking of going back to ranching, money sucked, most of the time, but at least I was outside.

I'm working at a local grocery store in my town, and I plan to start college this upcomming fall to become a travel agent as well as taking courses to become a massage therapist. I can't wait ^_^

I work in film.My main aspiration is to direct - so far I've made a few of my own short films, and have a few feature scripts I plan to get funding for a couple of years down the line - but I've been doing a lot of work within the Art Deparment to establish contacts and get some more experience within the film industry first. My first professional paid job was working on a feature film as an Art Department Assistant last year, where I also took over as Art Director during pick-up shooting.I've never had to be a runner, and at 19 I'm already doing the Art Direction for another British feature film shooting in a few months time - which for those who don't know, is VERY unheard of for someone my age. There are also 3 other projects green-lit which I've been asked to work on....So yeah, that's what I do. Long hours, 6 day weeks (although I normally end up working on days off), sometimes hard to find the time to sit down, stressful situations, racing against the clock, masses of challenge, varied, normally brilliant people - I fucking love it. Puts on a fluttering cape of his own In deep booming superhero voice: My futures so bright, I have to wear sunglasses.

wow thats impressive - did you go to film school or did you just start out with a job? just kinda curious

hiding her face from Jays gloryWow, im impressed.............

Wow, im depressed.............
19 and your already doing all of that. Kudos man!, and here I am, almost 32, about to press the big red button marked, "Start Your Career Over From Scratch". It sounds like you know what you love and do it. You make a great example to others who are trying to deciding what they want to do.
Follow your passion

In reply to:I know it's not an exciting job, but I'm not going to be staying in low level positions for long, so I'm not too worried.plus you're stereotyping, as you tend to usually do.We're having a big pot-kettle-black moment here.Humorless guy, I was quoting a very funny Monty Python sketch about a CPA who was speaking to a vocational counselor about a job change. The CPA wanted to be a lion tamer. On the other hand, a member of the British Parliament (Austin Mitchell) once said that chartered public accountants were the masters of the universe. Accountants did take a hit in the Enron scandal, though.

Angel, how come I didn't know you were doing that? We are basically working on the same degree? When do you finish? It also sounds like you're doing social work already. I'm really becoming more and more intrigued with the idea of just running a coffee shop and doing unofficial social work in the community.
-
**no idea why you didn't know, obviously you don't take any notice of me *sobbin* joking
I have actually another 3 years to go till i get my degree, cos i wanna get my honours and that will take another year, since I am studying at home, I can only do so much, and i had last year off with my daughters accident, and the wedding etc, i know i couldn't do it.........but at least i have the opportunity to study, AND, be a stay at home mum, its hard work sometimes, but I love doing both........
Actually, i do get to help a lot of people, mainly teens, by doing the voluntary work i do, I think the coffee shop/unofficial social work idea is a good one, probably more rewarding and far less stressful too
How many more years have you got to go? **

I am so depressed now...I wish I was still a stay at home mom *sigh*. Ok so it really was harder than what I am doing now,(because of who or rather WHAT I was married to) but it SOOO sucks that I can't do as much for the kiddos myself. Pros and cons to everything darn it!
-
In reply to: How many more years have you got to go? Years? Perish the thought! It's months!I'm finished in May. Wooty! In reply to: no idea why you didn't know, obviously you don't take any notice of me sobbin joking Oh, you have no idea how much notice I take of you.
-
Hey just cos you go to work, doesn't mean that you're a better mom than me, with kids it quality can be JUST as important as quantity, in fact, I wish i had a chance to take my kids out for ice-cream like you did.............its youth club one day, scouts the next, brownies, swimming lessons and yay a wednesday off LOL..........Im sure your kids arn't missing out at all hon.

That was a little uncalled for don't you think? She never said anything negative about you. Unless I'm missing a huge sarcastic tone in Pepsichaser's message, that was a low blow.
