I have a question about my precum and my girlfriends birthcontrol. She's 18 and I'm 19, we've been dating for 2 years as of feb 1, and had sex for the first time last weekend. For about, i'd say no more than 2-3 minutes, i wasn't wearing a condom (never had sex before, wasn't expecting to), but i got one and had it on the rest of the time, and pulled out before i came. She's a real worrier, her best friend got pregant last year, so she's kinda dragged me into worryin with her. She thinks for the few minutes i didn't have a condom on, some of my precum may have gotten her pregnant. We had messed around that mornin, prolly 14-15 hours earlier, but I figure any stray sperm would've been flushed out or killed whenever i used the restroom throughout the day. What're the chances there was any live sperm in the precum? About her birth control, she started it about 3 weeks ago, on a sunday on the same day she started her period. This week is her sugar pill week, and it's wednesday and she hasnt started her period yet, which is makin her worry more. Since she started the bc on the same day as her period, if she had her period this week, it'd be a week early. So I'm wondering, is she really gonna even have a period this week since it's only been 3 weeks? She thinks she's gonna, and the more days she goes without the period she more she worrys, and i'm sorta startin to worry to. the birth control says it's 99% effective and i don't wanna be that 1%. Is there a chance she's pregnant?

Am I worrying for nothing?

I figure any stray sperm would've been flushed out or killed whenever i used the restroom throughout the day.You are correct. The birth control pill is more than 99% reliable if used precisely as directed (i.e., if the pills are taken pretty much at the same time every day).A period can be delayed by a variety of things, including stress, like the kind of stress you get from worrying about pregnancy. She should get a pregnancy test kit from a drug store to put her mind at ease.
