I had cancer about 6 years ago in July, I had surgery, and left my testular removed.I was very luck that I got it early, and didn't need any treatment. :-)If anyone has questions, please feel free to ask. I'd be more than happy to answer or talk with you.

how did you find out that you had cancer?
-
My left testie started to get bigger and bigger. but it went on slowly, that I didn't notice right away. I was getting this pulling feeling in my groin area. It got to the point where it was in the way when i sat down or lay on my stomach, and standing up on my legs was driving me crazy. Went to the Dr. and he first thought it was an infection, but test came back nothing, then he did an ultrasound, and thought he saw something but wanted me to see another Dr. so I did. and test came back. then had surgery. All this in a week!

Wow dude… I’m glad you’re okay... Has that happened to anyone else in your family? I didn’t know if it was hereditary or random. Did they put a prosthetic testicle back in its place so you can’t tell when looking at your scrotum, or do you just have one hanging? Did you notice any decrease in volume when you cum? I’ve often wondered if it would really make a difference. I know you only need one to produce semen. These were just some corky questions I was wondering about…

Hi Mayguy
I'm glad to hear that you're all well. What you have experienced sounds very similar to what I've gone through in the past 5 months. I was diagnosed with testicular cancer in March after a pain in the groins. My right testicle grew in size and started to feel uncomfortable and heavy. I had the operation 6 weeks ago and am currently undergoing adjuvant Chemotherapy to lower the relapse rate to supposedly 5%...
So after 6 years you are considered cancer free right? That's fantastic. Do you still have to do some sort of checkup once a year?
Eric Roland.

Sorry for the late reply.Roc,No, I did not get a fake put in, I just have the one hanging. To be honest, I didn't feel any diffrent after I woke up from surgery. it all felt the same down there. The Dr did offer for a fake, but I told him no thanks. I wanted to be unqie (SP). :-)No changes in volume when I cum. The right one has become some what larger to make up for the lost of the left one.

Eric,Glad to see someone else post here on this. Hope your treatment goes well. On my last check up, everything is good. It been a couple of years, The Drs. tell me I don't need to go in again anytime soon, But I am going to plan on making another visit in a year or two.If you don't mind my asking, what is your age? Mine was at 29 years old.Going to read your link.Jay

Hi JayI am 29 as well. Seems to be a normal age for TC. I will have my second dosis of paraplatin chemotherapy(a watered down new medicine) tomorrow. I'm not excited about it but I it feels good to know that after that I'll have a huge chunk behind me. I guess after it'll be checking blood every 3 months and CT scans ever 6 months for 2 years and then down to once a year...I just need to get my mind off it. I've been dealing with this thing for almost 3 months now every day. I need to get back into real life. it's not easy... But it feels great to see that other people like yourself have put this behind themselves and were able to move on like normal. So did you have any other concerns or issues during the 5 years of surveillance? I assume you chose surveillance because you said you didn't need any treatment. Was it difficult for you to get back into regular life and work?CheersEric

Hello Eric!Hang in there with your next treatment. I think I got back into life pretty quickly. I was back to work in a couple of weeks, but I couldn't lift anything. So i was just doing paper works. I must admit, I did miss working hard. I used to be a produce manager, so I had to lift produce boxes that are as heavy 60 lbs. About a month I couldn't do anything. but I had a lot of help/support getting though the month. Being that I got mine early, I don't have any fear of it may coming back. but I do plan on going back in a year or so and get checked up to just to be sure.I take it you are in the UK? Jay
