i've heard that it's possible for people to be allergic to latex condoms. how would one know if they are allergic to latex? what kind of symptoms will be present to indicate an allergy?and if only male latex condoms are used during sexual intercourse,is it only the male that can be allergic to latex or the female as well?

a week after the first time i had sex i got a yeast infection and the doctor said most people get that when they first start having sex b/c the spermicide, lube or latex disrupts the normal ph balance in your vagina. it had a thick white discharge that was kinda clumpy, it was very red and irritated and had a burning itching feeling that was terrible. the infection went away, then i had sex again and a week later i see some discharge again like the kind i had when i had the infection..i just saw it like 2 days ago and it burned and itched a tiny bit but it doesnt feel like that everyday..i went back to the gyno and she said that as long as it doesnt burn or itch then its probably nothing..but i know i must be allergic to the latex or the spermicide or sumthin cuz it shouldnt be like that..it looks very un-inviting and my bf thought it was gross so what am i supposed to do just use trial and error trying it without spermicide or with a non latex condom? but i dont wanna keep having this ugly clumpy discharge b/c i cant have sex for a while until it goes away...
