I know I have ringworm, and I am being treated for it (ketoconazole cream). However I didn't realize it was ringworm until tonight. My doctor just said I have a "fungus" and prescribed that.So now I'm curious. Is there anything else I can do to help it clear up faster? I'm a pretty lazy person, and because of that at the beginning I was skipping putting it on and stuff. Well since then, it has spread (a lot to my inner thighs). As you can imagine, since then I'm doing it every morning and every night like clockwork. Its pretty embarassing the big red spots and all... So I was kind of wondering if there was anything else I could do to... speed up the healing process?

Ringworm is, as your doctor said, a fungal infection. It is not due to a worm. Like all fungal infections it likes warm moist places that aren't well ventilated, so wearing loose shorts will help avoid spreading. Mainly, though, you need to keep using the cream. Rub it in well. Keep using it for two weeks after all the signs have gone, or it will come back.
