That's were I'm going! Wooohooo! Two of my friends and I are going for a week this July and I can't wait! I'm so excited about it, this is just what I need and I am so excited about it ^_^ I pay for my part of the hotel room this weekend (well part of it this weekend and the rest of it next weekend... I've got bills so I've got to pay what I can when I can). I've finally got fed up with this town and people and my friend Kari made me an offer I just couldn't refuse! We made these plans yesterday and today we convinced one of our guy friends to go with us and of course he agreed to go ^_^ So it's me, Kari, and Blake (yep, that's the one I was telling you about Eddie ) off for a week of partying in Colorado Springs ^_^ Woohoo! I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Cripple Creek, CUTE little town...and and and....LOL I was born in Kremmling, it is "like going home to me"....We lived in Springs, and mom found the dr..probly before we moved....but I have been back...What a GREAT adventure!!!Walken, you can go with me next time. But I drive, you will need at least a week...go see Vail and all that..lol
-
sounds like a plan, but we have to take my Jeep with us. I know some local 4 wheel drive clubs and we can go out into the wilderness.
-
OOOHHH really!?!? I know of a killer "trail" down in Silverton! But with the 14ers near Springs, we could have some KILLER fun too!Jeeps and bikes are the coolest!
-
hahaha sounds like a plan.

**Whooohooooo.........*dancin* Its gonna be awesome i just know it, remember to take lots of pics for us all won't ya LOL Im really chuffed for you **

Take me! Take me!When I was a little kid we use to go out there for about a month every summer and stay at the Broadmoor it was great. The Springs were much smaller then and easier to get around and all but it's still great today. If you can manage it and like good German food and great German beer you've got to go eat at the Edelweiss. In the evenings on the weekends they have a strolling German group who sing. It's the only time I've ever heard Bob Wills tunes sung in German...LoL For something quick and cheap, besides me...hehe, hit the Vienna Sausage Hut in Old Colorado City its just across from the Kyoto Massage place - another good recommendation. I know what your thinking Vienna Sausage, Yuck! That's what I thought for a long time but it's not the kinda Vienna Sausage your thinking about, try the Chicago Dog - very good. Also, if you happen to be walking around Old Colorado City there is a very good homemade candy store there.Wanna try something fun. Since there is going to be three of you, take two beers and drive up Pike's Peak, once at the top, and done looking around, two of you chug your beers and see who can make it to the car without falling over dead-drunk. High altitude makes for a great cheap drunk. Just have a designated driver the drop offs on the side of the road are long and steep...LoLYou've gotta see Seven Falls, beautiful, but the bastards that run it now won't let you feed the chipmunks any more...Assholes.If you want to hit a few bars there is a good one in Manitou. Hope you have fun. I'm sure you will.

WOOOT BABY!!! VERY Happy for you! See now you get Blake in a Hotel room.. I see your plans!! heheI love Colorado; It's so very pretty! You might be going during the time the renaissance festival is going on. So look into that darlin! I would sooo love to go there again some day; I had so much fun there.

We originally wanted to go to Montana, but Blake talked us into going to Colorado instead and we decided since he's been there several times that he just had to come with us ^^ We'll be driving up there, which will be a 13 hour drive... hmmm 13 hours in a truck with Blake should be interesting lol>>>See now you get Blake in a Hotel room.. I see your plans!! heheI would nev... okay, maybe I would, but that wasn't what crossed my mind, honest! All three of us are going to share a room and I highly doubt anything like that will be happening because Kari has already called dibs on having me as a sleeping partner (not that way you perverts!).Oldfolks- All of that sounds amazing! And believe me, I love German food! My sister's best friend is from Germany and I love going to his house to eat dinner with his wife and kids... oh, he is the best cook in the world... well other than me that is lolI'm so excited guys! I told my parents about it and although they're not too excited about Blake going with us, they do agree it is safer to have a man with us. Not that we're scared to go by ourselves, but it would be better to be safe than sorry. I can't wait ^^ Only a few more months... yay! Of course I'll be taking pic sis, I wouldn't dream of not doing so ^_^
-
Yay Katie! I am so happy you finally get a vacation!I hope you share pics with us.

Do not take this the wrong way but I hate you all!Colorado, especially the area around Silverton is one of my favorite hide outs.Ouray especially. Its where i go to hide out and don't tell people where i am going till I get back. The ice climbing there is great and its a hell of a festival when Oray holds the ice climbing comp. you are going to miss that in July but you could hit Silverton and Durango, and there is alot to do there in that corner of Colorado. some of the most spectacular scenery and mountains I have ever seen.I have been heading into the 14'ers there for a while as they are about the best near me to get my skills up for Denali (McKinley). Now however I find that so many other people know of the secrets I had there and you'll be joining in on that experience as well.I hate you all, your stealing my place!Montana is great as well, Paradise valley is about my favorite place there. cut back thru Yellowstone and between the park entrance/exit and Jackson Hole Wyoming is some great climbing in the Grand Tetons. Jackson Hole is fuck an A too.continue back on 89 and you hit star valley stay on 89 into Brigham city Utah and you would of seen some of my favorite cliff sides to climb on, its a two hour drive for me and I still manage to climb there fairly often. I miss Logan canyon Ill be making some trips there this summer. From there jump I-15 down to I-80 west and you would drive with in 3 miles from my house (as the crow flys) go another 2 hours from Salt Lake city and you'd be in Nevada, Wendover is not nearly as tight as Vegas on pay outs. If this is your first vacation in a while and sounds like your first road trip with friends I would consider the longer trip, see more and do more. Me and 2 of my buddies took off one morning and 32 hours later we were in St Lois, after seeing the grand canyon and eating in Cameron AZ. we also made a stop in Oklahoma city and picked on some locals there that couldn't mind their own business.I am now (like they would remember me if I ever went back)f from f cracker barrel there Road trips I like to take long ones with friends, shorter ones with my kids. If it were me I would reconsider this trip. Not to skip taking it, just to rethink the destination and see if I could fit in more.On Colorado, if you can manage it hit Durango and jump the train to Silverton. Narrow guage steam rail road thru some spectacular scenes to Silverton and its alot ike stepping back in time to the old west.Need a hwole day for that trip, jump the train back to your car and take in some night life. When I took that trip I also spent a day a few hours away in 4 corners area taig in Mesa Verdaf, all old ruins and some really cool shit.

No way! Did you meet Bob in Silverton? He owned the jeep rental place..been years though.I have pics of me SO drunk there. It was my first time, drinking and smoking pot (which I have long since given up) and the altitude got to me too...The cops showed up at hte party and escorted me home, I was only 14...1 1/2 yrs later I was living in Carlsbad NM...what a hell hole after Colorado.Next summer I am gonna fly into Denver, and ride the Orient Express over to Portland Or. See the sights that way, and get to touch in a bit in Yellowstone. Just me and my sis, no kids week!
-
never made it to the jeep rental place on that trip. just jumped the train got drunk and spent about 20 minutes on the train between cars on the way back yacking up a couple pints of vodka, but I did have a great time, Iv been thinking about doing it again since my fiance has never seen Coloradof I think its high time she did. Course she nees to be seeing San Diego as well and Sea Port Village and she needs to take in China town in Frisco and walk on the wharf. Iv been dying to take in Carlsbad myself, I love the underground.
-
The caves are awesome, the town just sucks, but I am not much for the desert or plaines either...sooo?!?!?
-
Well sis, Blake is just a very, very yummy friend of mine
>>>This is sooo off-topic, but in your picture, you look a lot like my sister-in-law, Bridgett. I'm just saying...<<<
Well I hope that's not a bad thing lol
We were wanting to go to Great Falls, Montana, but we were talked out of it lol Anyone ever been there? Hey Chance, you're more than welcome to come along... but you've got to drive yourself there :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
